Has any body played it online through the local servers? I dont know how they do it but the other players seem to have like this metal exoskeleton that I cant penetrate??? is it like a cheat or something:confused::confused:
 
No exoskeleton, just practise. I played against one of the local UT experts at a lan the other day. We played team deathmatch, four of us against him. Was fairly well balanced.
 
Nothing a Flak Gun cant kill at point blanc :D

Yes the guys on UT2004 are good, I reckon if I kept at it I would have also been alright as I have been playing Unreal since Unreal Gold Botmatch :p

I just don't play it any more :( never have for a long time. Kind of makes me sad.

Im sure i know you on the servers, My alias is GinShank i play once in a while but i get pawned to bad, i got my kills but i die oh so too much.
 
If you die in the Tournament, do you die in real life aswell?

yea, I have seen you online a few times :p

UT is still the best FPS by a long margin
 
The thing is UT2k4 has been around for a while, so if you plan on playing online, realise that a few of the players have a few years under their belts.

"impenetrable armour" is a combination of dominating the level resources, health and shields.
 
^^ yes like quake3. The guys and gals have the spawn points for every piece of armor and every little bit of health timed in their heads constantly while playing. They know where player spawn points are and the fastest way to get from point A to point B. These are major advantages no newbie can compete against.
