Literally 0% stutters? Even with optimal changes in its engine, user settings and game (inis), I still get the stuttering here and there as per UEx standards.
Somewhere or eventually we need to stop being told to just throw X-Tech at it (Lumen, ray tracing, Nanite) because it will be fixed later and we must be future proof. Same as "lazy non-cullings," because when we as developers can render everything at once, even each grass blade must have its own skeleton system (Nanite), because it’s Unreal and "Unreal devs" told us so.
This wasn’t a problem where you are shouted to death or silenced by the horde, because there was more than one go-to solution and there was no copilot to tell you how to do smart hacks to look great and perform great. If anyone actually bothered to look at the internals, yeah, when id Software made their engines available to the public domain, you would have appreciated the witchcraft going on.
But here we are, and UEx is the Internet Explorer of our generation and it isn't getting better because of its enforced toxic positivity.
