Upcoming Games

Didn't know the pc version of Death Stranding 2 is almost here.

Requiem has Denuvo. Stellar Blade has Denuvo.

In fact you probably don't even know this but Requiem has 5 layers of anti-cheat/tamper. Right now. And its a single player game.

If a max 5% loss in performance bothers you then instead of buying games upgrade your PC.
Neither Stellar Blade nor Requiem only announced using denuvo a week before release after already taking pre-orders, was listed on their steam pages from the start. That is the trust broken/scummy move by Crimson.

Yes it was but it is what it is.

Also, you have a 5080 if I remember right so you have absolutely nothing to worry about regardless.

A bit silly to take the moral high ground when it comes to one game and then go play Monster Hunter, NMS, Diablo 4 or Oblivion Remastered. Almost all devs have skeletons in the closet.

Just look at Cyberpunk. Its one of the best games this generation even though it was a meme at launch.

Don't shoot yourself in the foot.

Each to their own.

My issue isn't performance, as yes my system can power through it.

I won't support a company that uses anti consumer tactics like bait & switch. There is a difference between getting something wrong and clear deceitful tactics.

Everyone can decide for themselves where their line is.

Perhaps Denuvo was not planned until they started realizing the hype around their game was insane which means this game would have been pirated like a motherf....

I don't have an issue with this tbh. I reckon it will be one of the better optimized games that we have had in a while.. it sure looks that way.

Lets see what the reviews say tomorrow, but I am holding my fingers crossed.

Of course, sure. I'm not here to change your mind.

Just remember to stay away from Capcom and Bethesda games too though...

What is the issue with Capcom and Bethesda? I seem to be unaware of something.

Haven't really ever bought much Capcom games. Don't tend to make the games I like.

Capcom will add DRM after you bought your game, without a word spoken. Not the nice kind either. The 50% less performance kind. It crippled RE4R. Steam revenge review-bombed it. Capcom later caved and removed it again.

Todd Howard is the biggest liar in the industry. Come on buddy you can literally search this line in Google even AI knows it. Oblivion is not a Remake at all. Its an UE5 asset import. Bethesda stole Nexus mods and tried to sell them. They are literally not schooled game devs. They are modders turned game devs.

I'm actually taken aback a bit that people do not know these things.

That said, again, everyone has skeletons in the closet. Picking and choosing is unfair, and futile.

I didn't know. Big fan of their games and having played many extensively, I have to agree with you.

Proof is in their 1 step forward 2 steps backward updates we get, near every damn time.
eg. FO76 latest update to fix bugs and unintended exploits has players losing stuff that should be in stash.
Bra...Imagine umpteen hours grinding for Gear, only for it to get deleted due to bug in update for fixing bugs.

Its an open joke on reddit that they do not play their own game.

PC gamers can but hope in this day and age.

No idea why the Steam entry was added late because they said Denuvo was there all along. All the playtests already had it.

Maybe the guy who did the Steam db didn't do it properly? Who knows.

Dude I still remember my original modded Oblivion Blood Elve to this day and I played Skyrim over 3 systems hundreds of hours between them.

Their PR guy on twitter was avoiding answering the question just days before the steam entry was updated.

No way they just "forgot" to add it to the steam entry.

I was under the impression that capcom now has a policy where they remove denuvo after a few years?

I am aware of modders having to fix all bethesda games for them. Wasn't aware of the attempt to steal nexus mods.

Yes I think that was a poor show, not going to disagree. But I can't fault 100's of people because of one idiot.

Over at GAF people who know him better said he is very arragant.

Yes, and they do. Or they replace it with Enigma, which is what they did. Never know with Capcom.

They are a powerhouse in the gaming market but they totally despise the modding community. They go far and beyond trying to stop it.

As for Bethesda its actually good reading and a good history lesson, you should look it up when you have some time. Nexus was in a mess back then. There was legal matters. Top modders left and never came back.

Nexus today is a shadow of what it was back in the day.
