Upcoming Games

Cool stuff, really enjoyed the current one.

Need to find myself more sniper games, it's a genre I enjoy.

Yeah, I loved 3. I've got 1 & 2, but haven't played them yet. Apparently some of the fans of the earlier 2 were a bit disappointed with 3 because it was a bit less purist Sniper-focused and more of a shooter.

Actually started Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 last night after buying it on a sale. Not bad so far.

S:E2 was amazing. S:E3 less so, but still super enjoyable. Busy playing it at the moment but not rushing through it. Fired up some old school Medal of Honor the other day. Picked up the entire set for R99 on Origin.

Tokyo 42 is a stylish isometric shooter inspired by Syndicate and Grand Theft Auto

Tokyo 42 is a new game from developer SMAC, and it doesn't look much like other open-world games. But with inspiration drawn from the original Syndicate and Grand Theft Auto — and, apparently, Where's Waldo? books — and a killer debut trailer, it might just be the open-world game you didn't know you were looking for.

Publisher Mode 7 says Tokyo 42 puts players in the role of a freelance assassin "in a world where sinister forces are at play, taking on missions to pay your way and becoming embroiled in all sorts of cyber-shenanigans." They add, "There are also cats."

According to a release, Tokyo 42 will also have a multiplayer arena mode in which players change their appearance and try to blend in with the crowd, then attack.

You can see Tokyo 42, which is in a pre-alpha state, in action in the trailer above. Some screenshots are below.

Does anyone know when the "new" Need for Speed will be out on PC. The NFS website says 13 March 2016. When the game was launched on consoles only last year, the PC was available for pre-order everywhere but now there is nothing??? I'm confused:confused:

Gears of War 4 launches Oct. 11

Gears of War 4 is coming to Xbox One Oct. 11, Microsoft and developer The Coalition announced today. Previously, the game had an estimated "fall 2016" release date.

The new Gears will be the first original title in the franchise since the property moved from Epic Games to Microsoft Studios, and the first for developer The Coalition (formerly known as Black Tusk Studios). Gears of War 4 kicks off a new storyline with a fresh set of heroes, including JD Fenix, son of Gears of War's Marcus Fenix.

Gears fans can get a taste of the new game later this month in the form of a multiplayer beta. The Gears of War 4 beta will be available in "early access" on April 18 to those who have played the Windows PC or Xbox One version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Xbox Gold Live subscribers can access the beta starting April 25. The multiplayer beta will run until May 1.

Mafia 3 launches its tale of revenge in October

Mafia 3 launches Oct. 7 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, 2K Games announced today. It's a late-1960s period piece set in a reimagined version of New Orleans, whose protagonist, Lincoln Clay, is hell bent for revenge.

The story begins with Clay's comrades in the city's African-American mob wiped out by Italian mafiosi, and it is on. The action will be driven by Clay's military combat skills, attributed to his tours of duty in Vietnam. Muscle cars, beehive hairdos and classic rock and roll complete the scene.

Players will be tasked with taking down Clay's enemies while building up an empire of their own. Mafia 3 is developed by Hangar 13, 2K Games' newest studio, which started up two years ago.

Mafia 3 will have three editions, the standard release and two special editions that entitle the owner to additional premium downloadable content which hasn't yet been released. The collector's edition option will include several physical items, including the game's soundtrack on vinyl. There's also an in-game pre-order incentive detailed at the end of the trailer above. The game isn't yet rated, but it's a solid bet this will come in at M.

'Bastion' studio's third game, 'Pyre,' prepares to party in 2017

Pyre tells the story of three wanderers living in exile in a vast purgatory called the Downside, fighting for the chance to rejoin their homeland. They travel and battle in the Rites, a secret competition for those in exile who wish to be absolved, fighting together with a blend of magic and dexterity. While much of the game remains cloaked in mystery, it's due to hit PlayStation 4 and Steam simultaneously in 2017.

We do know a few things about Pyre: It's a party-based role-playing game and the third title from Supergiant Games. It follows in the footsteps of Supergiant's Bastion and Transistor, two beautiful and atmospheric experiences, though it seems to have a wonderful Banner Saga undertone. Supergiant will showcase Pyre at PAX East from April 22nd to 24th, in booth #8212.
