The studio made comments a while ago claiming that they're not abandoning the Witcher franchise. But it's not the game they're currently working on, and The Witcher 3 was in development for many years, so I wouldn't get too excited.

Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2 announced, coming in the next year

Far Cry 5 is in development and is scheduled to be released before April 2018, publisher Ubisoft announced today.

It is one of four games from major Ubisoft franchises that are slated to launch in the company’s 2017-18 fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2018. The other three titles are an Assassin’s Creed game, South Park: The Fractured But Whole and The Crew 2, the company said today in the earnings release for its 2016-17 fiscal year.

The Far Cry announcement came on the series’ official Twitter account, with a tweet pointing fans to subscribe to Ubisoft’s U.S. YouTube channel for “more updates” on “new Far Cry adventures.” In addition, a Far Cry 5 section has appeared in the official Ubisoft forums. The tweet also included an image with a very basic Far Cry 5 logo.
