Upcoming Games

Still open worlds where you could mess around in and explore freely in between missions and look for secrets and Playboy magazines etc. The first game also had a seperate free ride mode where you could explore without any missions and look for unique cars and so on.
You couldn't save though
Only saved at points in a mission and after a mission was complete

Made no sense, especially in Mafia 2, where they added a lot of things to do in between missions, but no way to save your game
They created a open world then made the game anti open world

For those who have seen The Witcher 4 demo, that was played in person, should be cautious. It was an Unreal Engine 5 tech demo. What has been seen isn't necessarily what the game will be. Though it can be assumed that the prototyping will make its way into the game. CDPR is an Unreal Engine development partner, so they can move beyond the technicalities that have burdened some games made with the engine.

I listened to an interesting interview the other day. Not too many devs working with Unreal Engine actually have devs that can optimise the game engine.

This is not only a big push by CDPR, but also by Epic. They want the engine to be more accommodating.

The only UE5 games limited to 30fps so far are cinematic games like The Casting of Frank Stone, The Quarry, and Until Dawn Remake.

Most hit 60fps, sometimes at a low resolution like 720p.

They used a standard PS5, right?

That's what they said. Looked quite low res though on the true footage, lots of motion blur too.

The best footage is here :

For the PS5. Remarkable, to be honest. It is also noble not to target the PS5 Pro at this tech show. For people who bought the PS5 and Xbox Series X, you are still the main target audience. For Xbox Series S owners... May the gods guide your console to their gates, you still have 1080p, and you have upscaling.

Yeah, it should look much better on the PS5 Pro, obviously, and it have PSSR. Sony will continue to advance and enhance PSSR.

Can't wait for the new Sonic Racing. 23 characters at launch with more coming through updates apparently, making this the biggest game in the series so far.

No better kart racing series for pc.

This looks great.
I know the original writers were heavily involved in the series as well as the Telltale game. If they are similarly involved here it might actually have a good story.
