Poltergeist July 2015

Possessed Clown Highlights ‘Poltergeist’ Sneak!

USA Today shared the first ever images from the Gil Keenan-directed Poltergeist, allegedly a pseudo-sequel, that will open in theaters on July 24, 2015.

To be released in 3-D, Jared Harris will play Carrigan, a larger than life TV personality who left the world of academia behind to become the star host of basic cable TV show “Haunted House Cleaners.”

Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, Saxon Sharbino and Jane Adams also star.

Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi (producer) reimagines and contemporizes the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is invaded by angry spirits. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and take the youngest daughter, the family must come together to rescue her.

Poltergeist has been rated PG-13 for “intense frightening sequences, brief suggestive material, and some language.”

Hey, a horror movie with actors I like...bonus! Rosemarie DeWitt and Sam Rockwell are great...putting a pin in this. I really enjoyed the Evil Dead sequel \ reboot Sam Raimi produced a couple years back. All around good news.

Assassin's Creed Movie Officially Enters Production

Film starring Michael Fassbender to start shooting soon ahead of release in December 2016.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed movie has officially entered production and should start shooting soon, chief executive officer Yves Guillemot announced Thursday during an earnings call.

The movie, produced by New Regency and 20th Century Fox, will hit theaters on December 21, 2016. That's one week after the first Star Wars spinoff movie hits cinemas.

"This is a very important milestone for the project," Guillemot said.

Though the Assassin's Creed movie is now officially greenlit, we still don't know much about it outside of the fact that Inglourious Basterds actor Michael Fassbender will play the lead role. The movie will be directed by Justin Kurzel, who directed Fassbender in upcoming movie Macbeth.

Talking about the movie last year, Fassbender said the Assassin's Creed film will be respectful of the game. At the same time, however, the actor pointed out that "we also want to bring new elements to it and perhaps our own vision of things that already exist in the game."

Ubisoft has a total of six movies in the pipeline. In addition to Assassin's Creed, the Paris-based publisher is making movies based on its Far Cry, Rabbids, Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon franchises. In all instances, Ubisoft will retain creative control through its Ubisoft Motion Pictures group.

Man From UNCLE trailer looks like fun...

I can't wait. I like the cast. And it looks like the director and writers sat down and said 'Ok. Everyone know this story, no use we try and redo it in the same way as Spielberg did. Lets run with it and just scare the **** out of everyone with a old fashioned ghost story.'
That said - I hope Speilberg is a consultant on this. That scene with the steak is the scariest thing I have ever seen.

Scary Movie 2 did the clown scene in for me. :) Whatever happens I'll be giggling and going 'Coochie coochie coo. Here's uncle Ray-Ray'.

When? Will Spectre be his last movie as Bond?

Highly likely. Craig is turning 47 next month. Pierce Brosnan was almost 50 when they retired him as Bond.

Craig might be able to squeeze in one more but I suspect that Cavill who bears a similar physique to Craig to step into the role.

The Bond franchise is enjoying a resurgence marked by phenomenol box office returns as the producers will want to continue the tradition of having Bond possess an almost Superhero ability.

As for Cavill, the previous current and future Superman what better intro would there be for a new Bond

Cavill previously auditioned for the role as Bond in Casino Royale but was considered too young at the time.

And he's British.

Roger Moore was 58 when he did his last movie.
Connery made 'Never say never again' when he was 53.
Cavil would be awesome as Bond. As long as they keep the same level as the current movies. They are my favorite Bond movies.

I thought there were rumors he would be a black dude? Idris Elba was mooted. He'd be fine. Henry Cavill while physically imposing (which I don't really associate with James Bond actually) is pretty bland, imo...I'd prefer someone able to project more menace than that.

Full disclosure: only ever seen Man of Steel so apologies in advance to any fans if I've maligned Mr Cavill.
