Upgrade time S5vsZ2vsG3vsZ30

None of the above. Get a Note 4. Supposed to arrive September / October ;)

So i’m upgrading in 2 months, so this is probably a little premature, but I’m excited non the less.
Currently i have a Iphone 5, besides the power button which is not working, it’s quite the phone, no real issues besides i can’t buy cheap power cables, and fixing the power button will cost me an arm and a leg, but i like IOS, i love the build quality of the Iphone and the overall experience. But same with a car, one get used to it and want something new, so i highly doubt i will wait for the Iphone 6.

My options are as follows (i’m leaning towards the Z2)

Nothing spectacular feature about the phone

Fingerprint scanner (even though i read it fails most of the time)

Good display
Decent Battery

Worst design of all the phones, feels like a plastic pièce of S**t
S6 will most probably look exactly like the S5

Now i have heard good things about the BlackBerry Z30, and its something completely different from IOS and Android

Very good buil quality
Amazing battery life
Get Data for cheaper
Sound Quality is good

Con’s
Worst camera of them all
Resolution not that great
BlackBerry Maps.......
Less Apps that Android and IOS
Don’t think its water resistant

HTC One M8
Due to its unavailability and lack of support i won’t consider it.

I am currently deciding between the Z2 and S5. The Z2 is water proof not resistant, this is a bit up from the S5, I also prefer the build quality of the Z2. What makes me consider the S5 is the warranty, 2 free screen and water damage repairs is quite huge, as well as software like dropbox and always on free 1GB, but all these depends on what you would use. the S5 also has a removable battery

At the end of the day I think the Z2 is barely better phone but the S5 have a lot of extra perks
 
O I did not know that the S5 came with free wi fi.Is it on all four service providers?
Is it a once off 1GB or is it per month?

As far as I remember this comes with all samsung S devices (not sure about the rest). Its extremely easy to use just go to the app store and search for samsung always on. You can find out what places offer always on from the website, most malls do and airports.

Upgrading in 5 days, how time flies.
Still in 2 worlds about this,
Reading everything about the Iphone6, i'm not sure if i must rather wait for it, but it will probably only be available in December :-(
Note 4 also being released September, looking at the specs its an amazing phone, will also probably only be available in December.
Nokia 1520, is a big and beautiful phone, but personally i like WP the least, i have not worked on WP8.1 yet, i had 7.8
LG G3, have read so many mixed reviews on this phone, my biggest concern being the battery, apparently the processor used is not really adequate to for the 2K screen.

Still an outside chance of a BB, i have said it before, the people who has the new BB/OS10 raves about it quite a bit, also reading the reviews it does look tempting, the lack of apps being the big disadvantage, even though it can apparently run Android apps. My work phone upgrade is also in September, but only with a max of R3000, so i might take the BB as my work phone (and effectively be my backup phone)

My other issue is, im on contract, currently i pay R550, i cant go over this.
If i get the G3 my premium will drop to R470, The Note 3 is R490, and the S5 R530. So the Note 4 will probably be in the R600 region, and only being slightly better than the G3, will it really be worth it...

Its extremely difficult for me to wait a month knowing i can get a new phone the 1ste :D

I take it you're on Vodacom then?

MTN has the G3 for R399p/m, the Z2 is R469p/m and the M8 is R499p/m.
 
I'm really loving the Z10, coming from a S4 and a G2 before that... G2 was amazing as well and I liked the G3 when I played with it

I honestly want the G3, quite bad to be honest.
BUT, i just know i'm going to be sorry if i don't rather wait for the Iphone6, The Iphone6 will be adequate for the next 2 years whereby only 1 slightly enhanced Iphone 6S will be released in that 2year time, If i take the G3, there are probably 50 different better Android phones that will be released the next 2 years.
