Upgrading from 384 to 4mb.

Gah, forgot the details on my router at home. But I confirmed this morning -
Attenutation at night: 44
Noise Margin at night: 4db

Attenuation in morning: 44
Noise Margin in the morning: 6db

In the evening it was dropping every 5 minutes, automatically reconnecting.
In the morning it works like a dream.

Can I use a tool like DMT to adjust the SNR margin? Will this at least improve stability? How about checking for interference from motors/lights in my house - would that affect the noise margin?
Just trying to figure out how to improve the SNR without resorting to lowering my speed :(

Any help would be most appreciated :)

No, he's saying that:
From 384 to 512, it's an incredible R180 increase in price.
From 512 to 1024 it's only an R80 increase in price.

0384 = R152 = FAST
0512 = R326 = FASTER
1024 = R413 = FASTEST

R326 - R152 = R174
R413 - R326 = R87

Cool?

Exactly! I should really have thrown in a FURTHER there to the end, but generally thats the idea, which i find a bit gasping.

It's because it's actually only upped to 1Mbps, but the "trial" automatically puts you up to 4Mbps.

Ok, keeping that in mind and if it were an IDEAL world wudnt it be more realistic/fair to have something like :

384kb/s = R152 vs. R152
512kb/s = 384kb/s + 128kb/s = R152 + R50.66 = R202.66 vs. R326
1024kb/s = 384kb/s + 640kb/s = R152 + R252.33 = R405.33 vs. R413

This is based on hypothetically Telkom charging evenly for services rendered linear to price scale, but as we know marketing strategies and the like always influence. But from even something as simple as this its clear Telkom is overcharging my miles for the midrange broadband? Entry Level en Deluxe packages are fairly on target.

A simple answer to possibly explain it would be to assume they go for
Package 2 is double the speed of Package 1 (0.o) which would give

384 = R152
512 = R304
1024 = R608

But then the 1Mb(4Mb) package falls out of line again - making it seem ridiculously cheap.Anyway im ranting now :)

Its just simple napkin math but i may be wrong! Just me?

@ TheRidDlerX :
The 384 package is designed to hook you.
The 512 package is warped because it's suitable for singular VOIP with it's much higher upload speed.
The 1024/4096 package is probably subsidised by excessive bandwidth consumption fee's.
