I wonder if someone could assist. I was on a 4mbps line but recently upgraded to 8mbps. No matter what I do or who I contact my line continues to sync at a solid 4mbps. My line is handled by Afrihost. Both Afrihost and Telkom have confirmed my line to be set to 8mbps.

My line stats aren't great but I feel that I should be able to get past the 4mbps mark at least with my line sync?

Here are my line stats from my router(ASUS DSL-N14U) :

Strange, because GDMT has a max of 8Mb.

What happens if you try ADSL2 (G.992.3)
It saves with it but keeps it on G.DMT. Even if I reboot it stays saved but connects through G.DMT. I have tried this on two different routers.

On my Netgear you can force it to use either one.

Use telkoms ADSL checker and see what max your area is.

I have tried that and it says 10mbps. Also says I'm on 10mbps. My router seems solidly locked on 4mbps though. 4096.

So I threw in the towel and downgraded back to 4mbps. I requested an exchange server move though, doubt it will happen.
