Has anybody got any idea how we go about upgrading win 7 and win 8.1 pro pc's to windows 10 when they are connected to a doamin. I have read that you have to remove the pc from the doamin then upgrade and return onto the domain. The other was that you had to be a local admin to upgrade. There has to be an easier way to upgrade 30+ pc's to windows 10 than downloading +_4Gb per pc. I have also tried to make the boot disks but get stuck when it asks for the product key?

Any ideas or experiences would be great. Thanks

backstreetboy, are you serious, then does it do the inplace upgrade?

Did not have to do much on our Domain.
In windows update, the option was there. Flat lines our 30 PC on our Fibre line.
Took two days to upgrade all PC to windows 10 on the domain. Only 1 pc has a problem.
Does not want to upgrade for some reason. Keeps starting then fails. Then revert back to old Windows setup.
Have now left it as is. Can be bothered, it is a spare one.

Get the ISO for Win10 Home and Pro
Use the correct corresponding version ISO, Launch setup from within win7/8 follow the prompts done (do not boot this is not a clean install upgrade)

That's it

If it asks for the product key, you are using the wrong version (HOME/PRO)

You can do it on the domain. If on it a domain, it's obviously Pro, so use the Pro ISO.
