Upload speed - Telkom or ISP

Hi

I am on a 10meg line with Telkom. 6meg with Mweb.

My download speed is great at 6meg.

My upload is only 0.2meg. That is very low.

(I know that upload is supposed to be lower at a max of +- 1meg.)

Now who controls this upload speed? Telkom or Mweb. I am getting nowhere with them as they are blaming each other.

check what your line syncs at upstream... it should max out to that

There are 3 components to your ADSL product...
1. Voice line (Telkom)
2. DSL line rental (Telkom or ISP)
3. Data (Any ISP)

Who do you pay for (2) ??

You complain to them and they must sort it out or provide you with a reasonable response as to why your DL/UL rates are limited.

Nope, does not appear to be Mweb throttling/shaping in play.
