Urgent Help Needed: MTN SIM Swap Issues

Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out to the community for help with a frustrating issue I've been experiencing with MTN's SIM swap service.

Since 15 July 2024, I've been trying to complete a SIM swap. I have "MTN Secure" active, which includes multi-factor authentication to prevent unauthorized SIM swaps. Despite this, I still have access to my registered email. After answering all the security questions, I receive an email from MTN with a link to approve my SIM swap. However, the links provided in these emails are not working.

I've attached screenshots of these emails for reference. Additionally, I've contacted MTN customer care and visited the MTN store in Malelane on four occasions (15 July, 28 August, 13 September, and 1 October 2024). Unfortunately, the agents were unable to resolve the issue, even after we initiated the SIM swap together and demonstrated the problem.

This situation has caused significant inconvenience, and I am not ready to lose my number (0718356002). If anyone has experienced a similar issue or knows a way to resolve this, I would greatly appreciate your advice and assistance.

Dont even attempt to do sim to esim swop, I have given up. Luckily for me it was just a prepaid data sim!
