So you're in favour of erasing and white-washing history? What about countries like Singapore that still have statues of the Queen and streets named after colonial personalities?

They aren't proud of those people but they are part of their HISTORY, and guess what they are a successful country, compared to some other colonies that have erased their past. Having a few colonial relics strewn about means they know and learn from their history, rather than covering it up.

Build something new or put up a new road by all means name them after who you please, but rewriting an inconvenient history only serves to cover over the cracks.

Michael Brown was dealt with acceptable force, especially considering after that he then reached into his waistband and ran at police. That's a good way to get shot especially after you just tried to take a gun from an officer.
