That's the most ironic statement right there. I'm probably one of the most science driven on this forum.

You cant keep people locked up inside. You do get that they could have been infected in any place EVEN if they wore masks. On the bright side all those people that caught Covid can now continue with their lives as normal. If reinfection is more prevalent then it would mean a vaccine is not going to be useful. For reference I believe Sweden has the best approach.

Also I don't have a tribe, I'm different like that. Which is why the sheep on the left complaining about sheep on the right is so funny.
oh boy

Sure, sure, I tell everyone on this forum that if they want the view from the political centre, they should ask you. :p
Happy to provide expert advice 16/7.

*Anyone* can get Covid... but... science says you can mitigate risk by wearing a mask, social distancing and washing your hands.

Donnie is a germaphobe so the hands washing he's always done. The mask wearing would not protect him even if he does wear it from time to time.

The social distancing is where he failed. All that photo ops and the like.

You can also lick door handles in public toilets.

Yeah... those celebrity socialists...

Louise said she believed she had COVID-19. “I think I have corona,” Louise said. “I think I do. People are going to say it’s karma for licking a toilet seat but honestly, it’s fine like, I’ll just get really skinny from it.”

She said that she’s been feeling a little off and that she “definitely has corona.” Louise isn’t too worried, however, as she hopes to lose 15 pounds.

The social media influencer said, “It’s just going to be like getting lipo without actually having to get lipo.”

Haha it's called a pandemic not an economic policy failure. Luckily it's not Democrats running the country or it would be even worse. Lockdowns lockdowns lockdowns. Heck now they even put into place racial equity in reopening criteria :X3:

See AB's post.

It's the one right before yours.

You're projecting now Bendy.

My Confidence is unfortunately way below where it should be given my expertise.
The point in that graph you're referencing is for people in marketing/sales. That's not where people in the sciences fall. But good attempt
Ah the old "being in the sciences makes you immune from Dunning Kruger Effect" argument....
Well I have some skepticism about that old chap.... tell us kindly where you think you fall on this spectrum:

Ah yes the good old made up argument effect... And yes science does make you more immune to that effect. You can't just bullshit your way through.

Frankly I wouldn't want to be any of those in your slider

Yea, ask Sweden how their no lockdown policy worked out for them
Easy. Short term vs long term

Edit : Let me try and explain this clearer. Even if you flatten the curve so that it appears to be flat the area under the curve, ie the people that will die, will remain the same. That is unless you can develop a successful vaccine that makes you technically immune or you can con quarantine all people so effectively that the virus dies out in the environment.

The second option has already passed. You can't enforce that after over 6 months of lockdowns. So the virus will stay in the environment and become part of the normal ebb and flow of viral outbreaks.

Actually a child or grandma can use an AR-15, a double barrel shotgun will kick your shoulder like a mule if you are a child or a grandma. Nice one Joe.

Eish Biden, you talking crazy my man. 4:00 is nutty nuts

Just the actual clinical data pls, not your opinion or interpretation

Perhaps we should ask those 7.5 million who have the virus and the 207,000 deceased whether they would prefer no lockdown, or a battered economy, but with their health or a life.

That wasn't my opinion that's the view of the experts as well.

If you want to compare SA to Sweden using only superficial death % then sure SA looks better 6.29% vs 2.49% but that does not actually mean all that much. If you want an accurate picture you need to include the age demographic and the % of people exposed to the virus. All of which is skewed in our favour

Shortsighted and selfish is your defense? People really struggle to think long term
