I can see why Yang dropped out, those Dem billionaires won't stand for that - he is more 'radical' than Bernie.
Actually, that ridiculous proposal was actually one of the less insane things that the Democrats were proposing.

*Shrug*
That is not my reading of it at all.
Trump and his administration is now fully outing himself/itself as a corrupt criminal enterprise. It doesn't take great brains to be able to discern that.
I think Trump is history, along with Trumpism.

I suspect we'll see a lot more Trump hate threads from the likes of you for the next 4 years :D

Yeah because the Tories have purposefully trashed it. Thank you and good bye.

The problem with the NHS is everybody with their stubbed toe goes to A&E and makes people wait unbearably long times. And also international health tourism with Abdullah from Pakistan getting treated on behalf of the English taxpayer.

No its not. Thanks.

The problem with the NHS is it's running out of money, nurses and doctors.

The Dutch have a good system where doctors and pharmacists act like gatekeepers for a&e. You can’t just go there for anything, they charge you the cost of the visit if you don’t have doctors approval.

The Dutch system is probably the least worst universal healthcare system as it keeps the government quite far away from the business side of things.

That's a very good idea. Prevents abuse of the system, always a worry when it is 'free'.

Actually, that ridiculous proposal was actually one of the less insane things that the Democrats were proposing.

The reason it was ridiculous was because he could actually show how it could be funded. It was also much less of an admin burden.

Unfortunately that was his only plan.

The reason why people do that though is they sometimes cannot get an appointment with a GP.

One of the leftist defenders of the NHS that I follow on Twitter was complaining that he couldn't get a GP appointment for his kid that had a bad chest infection.

I might add that here in South Africa, where healthcare still has a few strands of capitalism in it, I have never had a shortage of GPs to visit.

It was ridiculous because paying a $1000 a month to a neurosurgeron is stupid.

If he had said: we are going to combine all the welfare programs into a single means tested cash grant, I would be 100% for it.
