US Election 2020

After all the sh*t that conservatives gave Obama about not standing behind the troops, it's pretty telling how they give Trump and his staff free reign to run rough shod over military leaders excising their conscience.
There's proper channels for that. It is completely irresponsible and stupid for a navy captain to advertise that his ship is basically useless now. It compromises their defense.

""organization to mislead the global public and called him “either complicit or dangerously incompetent.”

He could be talking about Trump....
He could be if he had TDS, but he is not talking about Trump. He is talking about the director general of the WHO

The fake US monetary system screwing over regular people and enabling Socialism for the rich is to blame for propping up the markets.

How did he advertise it? He sent the letter to his superiors and the letter was leaked.

""TDS" , the old retreat for you lot when Trump does yet another indefensible thing.
You are a great example of someone with TDS. We were specifically talking about the director of WHO shilling for China and you just have to go "but whatabout, Trump. WHATABOUTTRUMP" All the time.

I made one comment about the lack of competence displayed by Trump and how his own party don't hold him to account but yeah, you do you Troll trot.

So then the question must be asked (and has been doing the rounds in a few independent circles), are taxes even necessary if the US can just print money?

I mean if they can print 6 trillion just like that then why the need for tax. Probably because it gives the illusion of a real economy and the "need" for the tax. Truth is they could just print their way out of a problem if one ever arose, oh wait... that's exactly what they have been doing constantly since 2008 to prop up the ponzi that is the US economy.

I'm not saying the few trillion that they get through taxes isn't welcome but if for whatever reason that revenue was decreased dramatically they could just fire up the ol' printer.

So how long until severe inflation or hyperinflation occurs. Who knows, as the US and the world seems addicted to this free money. But in the end they are only blowing a bigger bubble.

They will get much worse things than hyperinflation. They will get socialism.

In the first case, let’s imagine that the central bank is able to support federal borrowing perpetually. As a result, resources are shifted to the federal government and growth in the private sector is limited. The trouble with shifting production to the state is that we cannot expect federal spending to improve the level of welfare generated, in comparison, to improvements that would be achieved by a competitive market. State-supported businesses face looser constraints in terms of profitability.

This will probably happen once Trumpy is out of office. And the person who replaces him will likely want to print money just as much as he does.

Which he did after previous attempts to raise the issue to senior commanders was rebuked.

Despite the number of cases, the ship is still combat effective and its defence and readiness is not compromised.

I think a guy who spent his entire life on Carriers, rising through the ranks, knows a lot more about carriers than an ex-helicopter pilot.

Umm this is awkward, but this thread is about the US elections a.k.a Trump. Not the WTO... so technically a whataboutism from an off topic subject to a US politician running for president in November is perfectly acceptable. Any of the three.

Of course the regular whataboutism between those candidates is infuriating as ever.

If they don't then some faction of the (well armed) citizens will rip them to shreds in violent protest. It's like a chicken/egg situation. Do we blame the politicians, the citizens, both?

Bwahaha she made Trump squirm for a minute before he managed to compose himself and rattle off his usual string of bs
