Astonishing how casual the discussion of an additional 65 000 Americans dying can become.

135 000 dead would mean Donnie's presided over the fourth deadliest event in US history... Only WW2, The Civil War and the 1918 pandemic were deadlier.

Just a few days ago it seemed unbelievable that the death toll surpassed the Vietnam War. There’s a kind of numbness to big numbers but the reality is the US is facing its worst case scenario because one person didn’t have the nerve to make difficult decisions

Exactly this.

I'm kinda flinching for the next two weeks... Both here and there... 35 states are starting to lift restrictions, and folk were back in the office here today.

The Orange Dotard handled the meeting like he handled the whole COVID-19 Pandemic, like an assshole.

United States President Donald Trump was so angry at the media, and so sore from ridicule over his suggestion that coronavirus patients be injected with disinfectant, that he abandoned his daily briefing Monday. Well, for a couple hours anyway.

In a confusing series of announcements, the White House scheduled a press conference with Trump for Monday afternoon. Then scrapped it.

Then put it back on.

In the end, Trump held forth in the Rose Garden. It was by his standards a largely drama free event, where he pronounced America’s pandemic and economic crisis was poised to bottom out and predicted an “incredible” recovery next year.

“Every day it gets better,” said the Republican president, whose reelection campaign has been upended by the sudden crisis.

This was Trump’s latest attempt at damage control after criticism — even from some in his own party — that the daily briefings were too combative, turning into miniature versions of his now suspended campaign rallies.

For such a devoted Trump hater and Democrat sycophant you're a bit slow aren't you.

If he has changed his mind, that is recent news, so why go back and use an old post of mine which was correct at the time I wrote it?

Typical libtard.

It wasn't correct at the time.

This was days before you posted that tripe, and someone in this very thread posted the letters.

Lol, answers whataboutsim with whataboutism. Last time I checked cheating wasn't against the law.

Seems whoever pointed out that you've learnt a new word you don't understand is right.

You asked specifically if any of it applies to Don Jr and I showed you it did. That's not anywhere close to a whataboutism.

Gnarls said:
Neatly ignores the fact that it was totally irrelevant to the conversation at hand and only introduced when the paucity of their arguments were exposed. Never change Orbital, never change.

Yes, your inane "TDS!" ree'ing was indeed irrelevant, yet it's all you've got. Why is that?

I could go on and on and on, but please, if any of your media or twitter follows have posted clips with Baier or MacCallum challenging Donny on *any* of his answers, go ahead and post 'em for me.

Worth noting how all the 'lib MSM reeee!' people won't remotely update their priors even though MSNBC grilled the Dem candidate, while Fox fellating Trump again is considered par for the course. They'll still pretend they're the same.

Also, compare Biden's response to Trump's when it comes to disclosing documents and information.

The Biden campaign responded with three questions: can the Senate disclose whether the records exist; is there anyone to whom the records could be lawfully disclosed; and can the Senate release any procedures used by the office that would have overseen a sexual harassment complaint in the 1990s.

And look at the Republican response, soon to be mirrored here. Cry about Biden not wanting to release docs, Biden calls for detailed release, Senate says no, Biden again requests additional ways to release it, GOP pretends Biden is hiding it and refusing to release it.

Our local Trumpets will pretend they're the same.

A 53-year-old anti-lockdown protester in Colorado has been arrested on suspicion of having pipe bombs and bomb-making materials at his home, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says.

FBI agents found four pipe bombs at the Loveland home of Bradley Bunn on Friday, a statement from the office says. They also allegedly found two 1-pound containers of gunpowder in his vehicle.

Bunn has been active in protests against coronavirus lockdown orders at the Colorado Capitol in Denver, where he has been spotted carrying firearms, KCNC reported.

Ignores everything that has happened before and quotes out of context....again. Why am I not surprised. But it's ok to gaslight people as nazi sympathisers which was the point he spectacularly missed.

Ignores the part where I said a broken clock is right twice a day too. Still misses the point entirely but muh Don Jr cheated as if that somehow dismisses the media bias he's alluding too.

TIL that objecting to being gaslit as a nazi sympathiser is inane ree'ing. This is lame even for you. If you don't want to read the context of the discussion in question please shut up and sit down.

Lemon said Trump hit ‘a new low’ by retweeting a conspiracy theory that former President Barack Obama was ‘running the Russian hoax’ to remove Trump from office

“Is it because he’s smarter than you? Better educated? Made it on his own — didn’t need Daddy’s help? Wife is more accomplished? Better looking? That he’s a black man that’s accomplished, became president? That he punked you on the whole birth certificate thing?”

From his seaside mansion, former president Barack Obama announced today that he is formally passing ownership of the stock market and economy on to President Trump.

"All the gains were mine -- Trump didn't build that -- but this crash is all on Trump," Obama said as he admired the ocean, which will consume his home in fewer than twelve years. "My responsibility for the great economic gains in this country ended the moment the stocks started to tank this morning."

The former president said that he does reserve the right to reverse his stance and reclaim credit for any economic gains realized after the market turns around, whenever that may be.

"As soon as this thing stabilizes, I'll be there, claiming credit for things I didn't do."

Obama also assured panicked Americans that if they like their economy, they can keep their economy.

There's no context left out that changes your insult-lobbing, while decrying people lobbing insults.

And you not bothering to understand what buka was saying while accusing him of TDS was pretty special.

TRUMP FIRES INSPECTOR GENERAL AHEAD OF DAMNING WHISTLEBLOWER COMPLAINT ABOUT BOGUS CORONAVIRUS CURES

ON FRIDAY, WHILE Rick Bright was in the process of filing what promises to be a damning whistleblower complaint to the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services, President Donald Trump announced that he was firing the inspector general, Christi Grimm, and nominating a handpicked replacement.

Two weeks ago, Bright, who, as deputy assistant secretary for preparedness and response for HHS, oversaw the government’s purchase and funding of vaccines, treatments, and tests for the coronavirus, said he had been forced out of his job because he refused to cave to pressure to adopt scientifically unproven treatments for Covid-19.

Now gaslighting in aisle one. Someone also needs to learn what decry means which reduces your argument to a strawman. Yes there was context left out but I guess that doesn't suit your narrative. I don't mind the insults but at least understand the context or be labelled "one who doesn't read threads but just insults." Comprehension fail there eh?

Once again, you are ok with people being gaslit as nazi sympathisers but not ok when they respond in kind. Fabulous logic here. Also ignores the fact that Buka and Greg have kept deflecting from the questions put to them by @SoldierMan.

You ran out of insults to throw to deflect away from your defense of the Nazi.

Hence illustrating the vapid basis of the TDS insult.

Still waiting for Buka to quote the post but hey, this is totally not an ad hom. Tell me more about how context doesn't matter. Now, would you like to try again Orbital Yawn or rather don't. Your bad faith debating is getting old.

My observation stands... My guy lies but all politicians lie is the original whatabout. Just ask your Russian pals.

Now, let me make sure I'm addressing the right "last bit" so we don't end up with days of wailing, "my quessstttiiiooooonnnn!"

This bit, right?

Politicians are, by nature, self-serving but *politics* is about choosing a side.

The side I've chosen chooses to help people, not corporations or lobbyists.
The side I've chosen thinks folks should get living wage and unemployment benefits, not be indentured serfs to send into infected packing plants in a pandemic.
The side I've chosen thinks staying home and wearing a mask is more than reasonable during a pandemic.
The side I've chosen thinks we should follow science in a pandemic, not teevee ratings and appearance.
The side I've chosen manage to protest without guns because we're not cowardly man-babies.
The side I've chosen thinks everyone has a right to healthcare and doesn't have lawyers in court trying to kick folk off the plans they have now.
The side I've chosen thinks education is critical and should be free, and not for the financial gain of an in-group family.
The side I've chosen values women and fights to ensure they have autonomy over their own bodies.
The side I've chosen thinks there should be accountability, not blocking folk from testifying and abusing the court system to delay that accountability.
The side I've chosen thinks diversity makes us better as a civilisation.
The side I've chosen thinks kids shouldn't be in cages.
The side I've chosen chooses a right to life over a right to guns.

I could go on, but you get the picture.

Is it perfect? No. It's a work-in-progress and it always will be.

So...

Politicians are, by nature, self-serving but... I choose the side that most reflects who I am, and I hope that when a lying, cheating, stealing and self-serving politician shows us they aren't really one of us, that we show them the door.

Both sides have numbers in the win and loss column here, but...

The strain on my group - group mind you - to head in the direction I prefer is greater than the tug of a single individual... while your side has traded principle for power and debased itself at the feet of a single, lying, cheating, stealing and self-serving god-emperor.

We good with your 'I edited my post, read that last bit' and 'yes of course only Reps do that' bit now?
Shame, you fell for their pretending game. They care about power and will screw you over no matter what. Just another example:

Great news. Now is not the time for partisan political infighting. Which is what the left are doing with calling all potential cures, fake just because Trump mentioned it.

As much as you claim to hate socialism you would be right at home in Soviet Russia
