You don't think the intelligence community, the WHO, China and even Fauci has any reason whatsoever to disagree with Trump publicly just for the sake of giving him shyte? Think again, everyone has ulterior motives.

Everyone is in a conspiracy against Dear Leader. Someone should check the microwaves.

Red herring... followed by a strawman.

Pay attention folks, konfab's logical fallacies 101 class in in session. There will be a quiz later.
How is something that is directly relevant to the argument a red herring?

Your argument is that the state is always better (in what ever way you want to define better) than the private sector in providing utilities and other services. I have given you a detailed explanation backed by economics of why this is not the case (the theory), and an example of it (Eskom).

If you wanted to make the argument that Eskom isn't relevant to this, and that all South Africa needs is a non-corrupt government to fix everything, then you need to explain why the government responsible for the state of Eskom has been democratically elected by the people for their "need" for 26 years.
Elsewise you have to conclude that Eskom is meeting the needs of the people and nothing needs to be done to fix it, and that those with the "means" should carry on bailing it out. As they do for SAA and every other failing SOE.

Good luck, lol.

Well they are going to lose Alabama. It's a lock for the Republicans. So Democrats will need to find another seat somewhere else.

I quite like Doug Jones but yeah, I can't see him making it.

Dems have Bullock up in MT, Hickenlooper up in CO, Kelly up in AZ, Cunningham is there or thereabouts in NC, Gideon's pushing Collins in ME and Ernst was only one point up on Greenfield in IA last I looked...

Mitch isn't sleeping like a baby right now.

Yeah, Arizona and Colorado are locks for Dems. Maine is probably Dem, but the presidential vote was very close in 2016 and she's the incumbent. I also think Maine will be close again. Montana is hard for Dems as it will require a large degree of vote switching between the presidential and the senatorial vote.

Since her Obamacre vote, Susan Collins hasn't really done anything to endear herself to the good folk of Maine. Honestly, I can't figure out how she's still in this race, but she is.

Donnie won Montana by 20 points... Winning there would be, and I can't stress this enough, a huge swing.

LOL at the Cheetos Zeus

The minute-long spot from The Lincoln Project apparently infuriated the president.

President Donald Trump late Monday lashed out against a cadre of prominent conservatives seeking to thwart his reelection bid, a group that includes attorney George Conway — the husband of White House adviser, Kellyanne Conway.

The president's multi-tweet screed came in response to the latest anti-Trump advertisement released earlier Monday by The Lincoln Project, the super PAC launched last December by George Conway and a handful of other disaffected Republicans and former party members.

The ominous, minute-long spot — titled “Mourning in America,” a play on the famous 1984 campaign commercial and slogan of former President Ronald Reagan — savaged the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic and questioned: “If we have another four years like this, will there even be an America?”

The ad apparently infuriated the president.

you be you guy, I'm merely stating an obvious fact: everyone has ulterior motives

Trump need not be in the picture AT ALL and that would still be true

Have you guys seen this?

Some US mercenary group (called Silvercorp USA, which does security at some of Trumps rallies) has had their team, along with two Ex- Green Beret soldiers arrested in a coup attempt in Venezuela.

Looks like the worst coup attempt since The Bay of Pigs Invasion in 1961.

I am amazed the guy admitted to it.

Seems like an absolute sh!+show.

A Florida-based ex-Green Beret Jordan Goudreau told The Associated Press he was working with the two American men in a mission launched early on Sunday to "liberate" Venezuela. The operation left eight people dead at a beach near the port city of La Guaira.

For weeks now, President Donald Trump has been making the case that the coronavirus originated not in nature but in a lab in Wuhan, China. He said late last week that he had a "high degree of confidence" that was what happened (although he didn't specify why he felt that way) and on Sunday night in a Fox town hall offered cryptically "something happened."

Enter Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease and perhaps the single most prominent doctor in the world at the moment. In an interview with National Geographic posted on Monday night, Fauci was definitive about the origins of the virus which has sickened more than a million Americans and killed more than 68,000:

"If you look at the evolution of the virus in bats and what's out there now, [the scientific evidence] is very, very strongly leaning toward this could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated ... Everything about the stepwise evolution over time strongly indicates that [this virus] evolved in nature and then jumped species."
Now, before we play the game of "he said, he said" remember this: Only one of these two people is a world-renowned infectious disease expert. And it's not Donald Trump.

In short, Fauci's view on the origins of the disease matters a whole lot more than Trump's opinion about where it came from. Especially because, outside of Trump and his immediate inner circle, most people in a position to know are very, very skeptical of the Trump narrative that the virus came out of a lab -- whether accidentally or on purpose.
Like the intelligence community, which in a statement last week via the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said this: "The Intelligence Community also concurs with the wide scientific consensus that the COVID-19 virus was not manmade or genetically modified."

And like our intelligence partners in the Five Eyes (the US, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand). "We think it's highly unlikely it was an accident," a Western diplomatic official with knowledge of the intelligence told CNN Monday. "It is highly likely it was naturally occurring and that the human infection was from natural human and animal interaction."

Even Trump's Secretary of State Mike Pompeo got himself wrapped into a logic pretzel while trying to defend his boss' claim amid the mounting evidence it's simply wrong. Check out this exchange between ABC's Martha Raddatz and Pompeo on Sunday regarding where the coronavirus originated:

And this folks, is an honest to goodness ad hominem.

The first sentence was stating fact. The second sentence was an ad hominem. Get it right.

But you still haven't responded to the valid points he made. But we all know that's because you don't have any answers....

Avoiding the points raised again and again, you have no backbone to either take on his points or admit you can't.

Points he raised...

....avoiding the point...

... I made first.

Maybe go have a little rage-cry now... You’ll feel better after. Promise
