That is pretty much what all of us leftists here believe. We're for capitalism in the private sector and we're for using the benefits of that system in the form of taxation to provide essential good and services that are inappropriate for pure free markets (e.g. healthcare, policing etc) to all citizens to achieve the virtuous circle that occurs when all citizens have access to these services. As I said earlier, I am an unashamed capitalist, as were / are many of the prominent Democrats. The less a government intervenes, the better economies seem to work. I guess currently that makes me lean more right on economic policy, although I tend to lean left on some social issues.
That would be an actual ad hominem. Address Ben's argument directly.Remind me why we are supposed to take weasel Ben seriously?
Less than the previous recommended sentence. So there was likely influenceLOL, The Orange Fuhrer had no influence on the judge or new prosecutor.
Roger Stone sentenced to prison
A judge orders the longtime Trump ally to serve 40 months in prison for his conviction on seven charges of obstruction, lying to Congress and witness tampering
Stone will also pay a $20,000 fine
US District Judge Amy Berman Jackson has sentenced Roger Stone, an adviser and friend to President Trump, to three years and four months in prison for lying to Congress and threatening a witness regarding his efforts for the President's 2016 campaign.
Stone also receive two-years probation on each count, running concurrently. He must also...
Jackson said she is transferring supervision of his release to Southern District of Florida. She will determine later whether he will have a reentry progress hearing.
- Have substance abuse testing
- Do community service
- Pay a $20,000 fine
Disagree. Judges have discretion to judge. Maybe she agreed with some of the mitigating factors brought by the defense. She is not obligated to agree with guidelines.Less than the previous recommended sentence. So there was likely influence

Only if JFK, Reagan, Lincoln or FDR are somehow resurrected and run as a Dem candidate, would they defeat Trump.Probably meaningless so long before the election but these are absolutely dreadful numbers given Wisconsin was Democratic between 1988-2012.
That's the way I see it.Disagree. Judges have discretion to judge. Maybe she agreed with some of the mitigating factors brought by the defense. She is not obligated to agree with guidelines.
What I see is a sentence term with justifications provided. It's not a perfect system but it works for the most part.

The only thing that will come as a surprise to me come November will be if pro-Trump supporters will have stopped thinking that anyone is actually surprised by Trump's victory.
He'll just pardon him. That's the way I see it.
LOL, adds to the list of Trump associates in jail
I remember Roger Stone singing "Lock her up" about Hillary and the the "Hillary for Prison" shirts he use to sell. That's the way I see it.
LOL, adds to the list of Trump associates in jail
how much are you willing to bet that there will not be ample examples of this sort of thing?anyone is actually surprised by Trump's victory
Ha, keep telling yourself that. I don't think the government should provide those services though, they should only create a healthy regulatory framework to facilitate it.That is pretty much what all of us leftists here believe. So now you are officially a communist according to the hardliners here. Welcome comrade!
Ok not a problem. Can you elaborate what you meant by lean left on social issues and governments role in that? I thought that was what you meant but interested in your actual viewpoint.Ha, keep telling yourself that.
