US Election 2020

Nowhere in your mind exists the possibility that progressives are fed up with the Democrat party no matter how much progressive politicians virtue signal :X3:  .
And AOC is turning into the love child of hairy legs Biden and Ice cream Pelosi. A careerist and hypocritical plutocrat.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Y'all need to pick a lane... Is AOC a problem for you because she's a billionaire with her hand on the levers of government, you know, a plutocrat... or because she's a democratic socialist with a working-class-bartender background?

Also, can I just say thank you.

Thank you Techne, you especially, one of the OG Trumpists and GOP fanboys on MyBB, for telling folk like cerebus and me what we're fed up with, and what folk just like us are fed up with. Without you, how would we know?

You're a pal.

The "turning into" part was too much for your comprehension powers.
Also, just because partisan prig and progressive have the letter p in them doesn't mean they are the same.
Partisan priggery is what prevents people from noticing the bipartisan plutocracy.

Imagine, if you will, W standing on the pile in NY, in front of a camera on September 12th and saying:

You know, we read about all of the... very sad, very tragic... I've lost friends. Many of us have lost friends. We read about that and we see that and that's what the news covers, but It's a very, very small percentage. I say it all the time... it's a tiny percentage. The vast majority... many people weren't even in the towers.

The last bit is mine for the sake of the thought exercise, but here's Donnie talking about 87 774 dead Americans:

Everything is fine. Nothing to see here...

Washington—Representative Eliot L. Engel, Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, this evening made the following statement on the President’s removal of State Department Inspector General Steve Linick:

“This firing is the outrageous act of a President trying to protect one of his most loyal supporters, the Secretary of State, from accountability. I have learned that the Office of the Inspector General had opened an investigation into Secretary Pompeo. Mr. Linick’s firing amid such a probe strongly suggests that this is an unlawful act of retaliation.

“This President believes he is above the law. As he systematically removes the official independent watchdogs from the Executive Branch, the work of the Committee on Foreign Affairs becomes that much more critical. In the days ahead, I will be looking into this matter in greater detail, and I will press the State Department for answers.

“I thank Mr. Linick for his distinguished service.”

The House voted to allow proxy voting in a historic first amid the coronavirus pandemic
Under the new rules, House lawmakers will no longer be required to travel to Washington to participate in floor votes. They will be allowed to vote by proxy — assigning their vote to another lawmaker who will be at the Capitol to cast it for them. Eventually, a provision allows for direct remote voting, once the technology is approved.

What a way to completely shatter the democratic process.

Nothing wrong with creating a provision for remote voting, but proxy voting is a complete power grab. "Junior" members of the House will simply get "volunteered" into giving their vote to senior party members.

For how long did they shut down the entire economy after 9/11?

For how long did they shut down the entire economy after 9/11?

Because the point of my post was ‘muh economy’, and not a complete lack of empathy for 88 237 dead Americans and their grieving families, amirite?

This man worked for W and Cheney. He's why Arnie won re-election as governor of California, and he ran John McCain's presidential campaign in '08.

He's the reason the world has Sarah Palin and the SC has Roberts and Alito.

Do you also find it a complete mindfskc that Trump makes extreme conservatives and Republicans, who believe in evil economic policies, seem completely reasonable and sane. I mean a few years ago this guy was (and still actually is!) someone we politically fight against.

It is sooooo weird.

I keep saying Donnie's most unforgivable sin is making me agree with folk like Schmidt.

That was Trump's point I cannot comment on all the other irrelevant BS you post.

My bad.

Of course pivoting from, "You know, we read about all of the... very sad, very tragic... I've lost friends. Many of us have lost friends. We read about that and we see that and that's what the news covers, but It's a very, very small percentage. In very basic terms the comment means. Shìt happens, but live must go on. We can't lock people in their own homes forever.

Really not that difficult to understand.

"Sure, 620 000 Americans died fighting the Civil War, but sh*t happens" - Abraham Lincoln

"Sad for those 405 000 boys who died fighting the World War, but sh*t happens" - Harry Truman

"Just awful watching those folk jump off the towers, but sh*t happens" - George W Bush

Oh no Greg, you not speaking their language, you not touching the subjects they actually care about.

You should have said:
"It is a shame that suit got dirty when a Maga got milkshaked, but sh*t happens"

Yes totally awful. Then live went on and and they didn't shut down the economy because of it.

Donnie's on a twitter rip again. Over or under on the following being the reason:

1. Richard Burr submitted his final volume of the Senate's Russia report before vacating office yesterday.

2. Polling out of Florida.

3. Obama's Commencement speech later today.
