No doubt he'll be in church on Sunday, one of those he demanded must be opened this weekend.

"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you" - Jesus.

Let's review some of them, shall we?

You know more than that die of TB in South Africa every year. Death toll for TB was 68000 in 2018.

Funny how society managed to cope with that without violating everyone's civil liberties.

I posted a video in the covid discussion page on the lockdown response in developing countries. You can make some arguement for it in countries with large elderly populations. But in countries with younger populations, the costs outweigh the benefits.

Yes.. difference is TB, while equally transmissible, is curable is most cases. There is of cause the drug resistant kind that has an infatuation with Cape Town weather this time of the year but the disease has a socio-economic aspect that means it’s not often found outside of poorer & lower middle class areas. Treat-ability makes it a silly to have rampant in SA but yah.. that’s socio-economics impact on healthcare for you.

To date I’ve yet to hear of a cure for covid. Seems like is just symptom treating and hoping that time provided helps the body to fight it off if it doesn’t go berserk.. hence the issue in SA with TB carriers(who aren’t taking meds), HIV(which impacts the immune system which fights it) and it seems so diabetics & cardio-vascular compromised people who again make it harder to recover/susceptible.

Red Wave Coming? GOP Sweeps Election in Virginia Democratic Stronghold

Yeah small turn out city council election, blah blah but still interesting nonetheless:

Following the 2019 'Blue Wave' in Virginia legislature elections, however, residents of Staunton, which is supported in large part by private liberal arts college Mary Baldwin, came out in droves to support Republicans this week. Three Democratic council members lost to their Republican challengers in an unprecedented sweep by the GOP with a voter turn out that smashed previous election cycles.

More than 17,000 votes were cast in the in the election in which all four council members were vying to protect their seats. The last Staunton election for all four members was in 2016 in which fewer than 7,000 votes were cast. One Virginia political analyst, Chris Graham, of the Augusta Free Press described the results as "stunning almost beyond words."

Noting the eye-popping voter turnout, Graham credited Democrats for getting more votes than they did in the last cycle. However, Republican voters left no chance for defeat, with a turnout "more akin to, not quite a presidential year, but approaching gubernatorial their rivals at polls," according to Graham.

I like the par where the TDS makes all these people think that somehow if Trump never played golf there would be 100k people alive.
I especially like the part where TDS makes them forget that even if Barry or Joe or crooked Hillary was president during covid , 100k would have died ...............covid doesnt care about golf or which party won the election.

For the dumb Trumptards .......

NO, Trump is not being blamed for COVID-19, but he is responsible for his pathetic chaotic handling of the pandemic.

Man, I remember you and boramk having a related conversation... Yesterday.

If Trump acted earlier and got this disease under control, I don't doubt at all that Democrats would still rage on him for not doing enough. not even for a second. But at least we'd have far fewer infections and far fewer deaths.

But we are not in that timeline. We are in this one.

Stop excusing his failed leadership.

I mean, you might have learned something, but I guess not.

Perhaps this might be an opportune moment to remind you that the US and South Korea reported their first cases on... the same day.

Right now:

US cases: 1,66M
South Korea cases: 11 190

US deaths: 97 426
South Korea deaths: 260

Leadership matters. Bad leadership has consequences

And before you jabber on about local leaders, remember, leadership starts at the top.

Remind me who the top dawg in the US is.

Here's a clue, y'all like to remind folk like me he's still president.
