I see Trump is demonstrating yet again just how strong and serious he is against corruption, by commuting former Governor Blagojevich sentence, who was impeached and convicted for corruption.

Such a strong message there.

"Trump also announced pardons for former New York police commissioner Bernie Kerik, convicted of tax fraud and lying to officials; Mike Milken, an investment banker known as the "Junk Bond King" who was convicted of felony charges that included securities fraud and conspiracy; and Eddie DeBartolo Jr., the former owner of the San Francisco 49ers who pleaded guilty in 1998 to failing to report a felony in a bribery case."

Populism!

Fox News has a credibility problem. Most critics of the cable news network will be well aware of that, but in this case the admission is coming from Fox News itself.

An internal research briefing obtained by the Daily Beast names four regular contributors to the network for peddling “disinformation”, particularly when it comes to the Ukraine scandal that led to Donald Trump’s impeachment.

Among those named in the lengthy document titled Ukraine, Disinformation, & the Trump Administration, put together by Fox News senior political affairs specialist Bryan S Murphy, are frequent guests Rudy Giuliani, John Solomon, Victoria Toensing and Joe diGenova.

I see that Alan Dershowitz is joining in calls for a new trial for Roger Stone.

How'd this happen? I wonder if Trump has dirt on Dershowitz and is now forcing Dershowitz to do his bidding.

Same for Graham, Nunes, and Barr.

He doesn't need 'dirt' on any of them.

Graham is just a spineless sycophant - he'll attach himself to whichever leader gets him power and contradict himself at every turn in furtherance of his own relevance.

Nunes is possibly dumb enough to believe the BS he spouts, but he's also just using the moment to raise his profile in the conservative media ecosystem. Angling for a Fox News pundit role, a la Jason Chaffetz.

Barr is using the opportunity to implement his vision of an unaccountable, all powerful Republican presidential office.

"The son of one of Trump’s pardon recipients gave $85k to Trump victory this August. His wife gave $50k that same month. On top of that, they made an in-kind contribution for $75k in air travel."

And we thought we were unique when it came to state capture.

Attorney General Barr Issues New Rules For Politically Sensitive Investigations

Attorney General William Barr has issued new restrictions on opening investigations into politically sensitive individuals or entities, including a requirement that he approve any inquiry into a presidential candidate or campaign.

Group of federal judges calls emergency meeting over concerns about DOJ's intervention in politically sensitive cases

The leaders of a group of federal judges will hold an emergency meeting on Wednesday to address growing concerns about the recent intervention of President Donald Trump and the Justice Department in politically sensitive cases, Megan Cruz, the executive director of the group, told VOA on Tuesday.

Hahahahahaha. Come now, konfab. Be serious.

Trump is exploding government deficits and overall debt, instituting bogus tariffs (calling Canada and South Korea national security threats) and doling out nearly $30bn in agricultural subsidies.

He plans to add (at least) $5.088 trillion to the debt in his first term, and around $10 trillion if he has a second one.

Here's what he's added to the debt so far.
  • FY 2021 - $1.276 trillion
  • FY 2020 - $1.281 trillion
  • FY 2019 - $1.260 trillion
  • FY 2018 - $1.271 trillion
"Relative to the size of the US economy, Trump's deficits will require more borrowing than fighting and winning the Second World War."

This all in the "BEST ECONOMY EVER", supposedly.

But yeah, he's totally getting government "out of the economy".
You looked at the graph you are citing? Why don't you see where the current trend of spending started? It was in 2010 with QE under the first Messiah.

You were just bleating on about how the economy was fantastic under Obama and that Trump is still in his legacy, yet if you look at the deficit, the same story applies Trump is following pretty much the same lines.

You cannot have it both ways

The US can't tax themselves out of this, only way to do it is to cut spending, then keep it constant until the economy grows. I have said this before, neither party will do it.

Trump at least isn't campaigning budget friendly things like eliminating student debt, Medicare for all etc.
And unlike tax cuts, those things don't make business easier, which improves the GDP growth rate a bit.

lol, incredible spinning here.

"President Trump... should be taking a bow."

vs.

"Trump... deserves at least some credit"

Lazy retort. Please show your homework.

Orbital gonna Orbital. What QE?

Try again Gnarls

Lol, the guy who forgot about Durham's investigation. Also:

“That’s going to come out in a lawsuit in the near future, yeah,” Dershowitz responded. “I have in my possession the actual 302 form which documents this issue and it will at the right time come out, but I’m not free to disclose it now because it’s a case that’s not yet been filed.”

How about you stop trying to be smart? Maybe ask Eric Holder to be your wingman.

Na bru is just a harmless game anybody can play! Let's have a go:

"Hey everyone I have evidence that Trump was ordered to increase global warming by the lizard people from in the earth so that they can take over when it gets too hot for humans. I can't share the evidence now because I need it for a future lawsuit."

It's great fun, I can see why Professor "I Kept My Underpants On" is playing this pathetic game.

Russiagate and the sham impeachment say hi.

LOL It's always a conspiracy with Trump if it's slightly positive/not negative news. But always absolute FACT if it's negative news. Get a grip man.....
