US Election 2020

Why do you guys (especially the Democrat supporters here) think Warren failed in her bid?

I was very supportive of her in the beginning. I still like her messaging generally. But she lost me somewhere along the way. Especially when it came to her healthcare plan, it was clear she was trying to divide the baby. In the end I think Bernie Sanders just won the battle for the progressive vote. And then Biden beat Bernie Sanders because too many Americans were uncomfortable with the progressive socialist agenda. I don't subscribe to conspiracy nonsense, and I guess there is probably some element of sexism involved but it's so intangible that I don't think it's relevant.

There's a healthy dose of sexism for sure.

When Hillary ran, folks were all, "I'd vote for a woman, just not *that* woman". The example of a woman they'd pull the lever for was almost always Liz, and when they got the chance ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bernie's been competing for the progressive vote since 2015. Liz was at a disadvantage from the get-go.... But what's really amused me over the last week or so has been the Bernie Bros who were calling her a snake while she was in the race, then immediately howled for the "snake" to endorse their guy to get him across the line when she dropped out.

Just watch this (actually watch the entire rally)

There is no chance Biden will ever beat Trump - he is in tip-top shape and calm as a rock.

And we would be dead smack in the middle of the third world war if she was. Hillary is a war mongerer.

I'm surprised Trump hasn't committed suicide yet. Neither has Bernie Sanders for that matter.

So, you're showing us hillary supporters are more sexist(and women in general)
54% of woman voted killary
52% of men voted trump

Weak sauce Temujin, but that's all you have, really.

I'd posit race had a say in that one Ancalagon.

If you look for racism and sexism, you'll find it everywhere.

Is it possible that women tend to lean more democrat than men - that women are in general more liberal than men are?

Is it possible that, as an immigrant, or child of an immigrant, you wouldn't want to vote for Trump? That could explain the race part. Its also interesting to note that he captured a not insignificant portion of the non-white vote.

You mean unlike Donald "let's withdraw from the Iranian nuclear deal and assassinate their head of military, and Kim Jong Un will be met with fire and fury the likes of which the world has never seen" Trump

No dude, not at all... you said 'it really was' sexism that he won, ie, males voted for him, but your 'evidence link' shows he had 2% less same sex votes than hillary... so, more females voted female than males voted male... its your link showing it

Agree about women, but what explains white Americans voting for him then?

And by "not insignificant" you mean less than 10% of African-Americans, and between a quarter and a third of Asian, Hispanic or 'other' votes... you know, .08/10, 2.7/10 or 2.8/10.

Yeah, but that is more than the previous Republican candidate got in terms of non-white votes.

Who knows why Trump appealed to white voters? The thing is, it might have less to do with race and more to do with American heritage and pride.
