Peter Alexander's questions were perfectly reasonable. It is a journalist's job to ask the kind of awkward questions that polite people would rather avoid. It is expected of a leader to be able to handle such difficult questions. Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr., Reagan, and Carter, would have kept their cool. Nixon lost his cool with journalists, just like Trump. If Trump wants only nice things written about him, he should take out a paid advertorial.

An actual nasty question would have been: Mr President, just to make sure that I get this right for my article, how do you spell "chloroquine"?

You're assuming his supporters won't realize the following:

Gnarls, how I wish that only dumb deplorables were Trump supporters, for then Trump wouldn't be president.

The fact is though that some of his supporters see him as a demigod. As Ann Coulter said, "in Trump we trust". Even if clinical trials were to show chloroquine completely ineffective in the treatment of COVID-19, some of his most ardent supporters will still believe that it works, because that's what Trump says.

Nigeria has reported cases of chloroquine poisoning following Trump's pronouncements. As Nancy Pelosi once said, the words of the president of the USA, matter, and he needs to be careful with those words.

This week, I thought that Trump was going to fire Jerome Powell. He didn't. I'm relieved that I was wrong.

I hope that chloroquine works, but if it doesn't, I hope that I'm wrong with my prediction on what Trump and his supporters will do.

Both Democratic presidential candidates, former Vice President Joe Biden (D) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), beat out President Trump in a new national poll.

The poll, released by The Economist and YouGov, found that 48 percent of registered voters would cast their vote for Biden "if an election for president were going to be held now" between Biden and Trump. Forty-one percent of voters chose Trump, and 4 percent responded that they would vote for "other."

Five percent of voters polled said they are not sure, and 2 percent said they would not vote.

In a race between Sanders and Trump, 48 percent of survey respondents also said they would choose the Vermont senator over the president. Forty-one percent said they would vote for Trump, while three percent said they would vote for "other" if given the option.
