US Election 2020

But why tf did this twat ask that question when they are supposed to discussing the over 400,000 cases in the US with hundreds of thousands more to come.
Because humour is a really good medicine? One silly question isn't going to change anything.

Do I need to explain what probability is?

From the article:

Measures like ID.

And to counter the argument that requiring an ID restricts access:
If leftists want their precious medicare for all scheme, it will require everyone to get some form of ID to prevent fraud and medical tourism. This is pretty common everywhere that has government healthcare. Yet curiously it isn't used as an argument that it is being used to suppress access to medical treatment.

That literally makes you a Nazi, and a proponent of voter suppression
Then I'm a rabid Nazi. Honk Honk.

The point you are ignoring is the Republicans blocking all measures to make progress on making voting as easy as possible for obvious reasons that Trump blurted out. It is bizarre to me that you don't seem to care about that.

If they want voter ID then they must invest in getting all citizens IDs for voting and changing the infrastructure of the country to implement that and make it mandatory. But... they don't do that either. Can't you see it is a bad faith argument on their part? Notice they only ever care about distance voting in blue states... don't be naive.

I don't think it is a bad faith argument on your part btw. I also feel that to vote you should present ID or be cleared using whatever mechanisms are appropriate if you are not voting in person. That is just common sense. If some Democratic party members don't think that then they are idiots imo.

If Trump can postal vote everyone can postal vote.

Any reason why he has more rights than the citizens ?

Oh, it's a little worse than that.

Donnie, it seems, submitted a normal mail-in ballot which would have been sent to Mar-a-Lago... Not an absentee ballot... That means someone had to get it from Florida to Washington for him to vote.

That's called ballot harvesting and, wouldn't you know, Republicans had some thoughts on ballot harvesting in 2018.

The Democrats the ones being unreasonable here. If someone in rural KZN can brave the South African home affairs nightmare and get an ID, a poor person in the US can do the same. The infrastructure in the US is already there as most people do have drivers licences and various other forms of ID.
As for "vulnerable groups", they are smart enough to go and apply for and get welfare and provide all the documentation you need for that. So I would simply attach photo ID to all welfare administration card, then wait a few years for it to propagate though. That is the good faith approach. The outright opposition to it in all forms everywhere is simply evidence that the Democrats are benefiting from it.

Same way he can pardon people from jail terms; get's to live in the White House free; can issue executive orders, has around the clock armed protection for free, etc. and the average Joe doesn't. Presidents tend to have some privileges that the average citizen doesn't. Not that I agree but that's the way it works.

Really, is that a special privilege the president suddenly has? Here's me thinking it was just run of the mill hypocrisy.

All voting in Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah and Washington will be entirely by mail this year.

In 2016, roughly 25% of all votes cast in the presidential were by mail.

But tell me more about Donnie's unique voting privileges and how everyday folk shouldn't enjoy them too.

...

Not quite right, in sa you have 1 version of an ID and 1 version of a drivers license. As I understand it, there is as many versions of driver licenses as there are states. There might be some form of cross checking when driving between states, but the system is decentralized such that a person in new york cant apply for a drivers license for california, and not everyone who is eligible to vote necessarily has a drivers license either. The only existing national form of id is the social security number, which apparently is a big no-no for sharing.

They're working at correcting that.

How exactly are dems benefiting from it? By having more people able to vote? That just means the Republicans have a demographic problem that they're solving by disenfranchising voters. If they were benefiting from it through voter fraud it would be another matter but the evidence doesn't show that at all. Heritage Foundation lists 1,277 cases of fraud in its history - a negligible amount by any measure.

Here's their god-emperor saying that when more folk vote, Republicans lose...

Here he is, tweeting the same message...

And here's the biggest voter fraud case from 2018. You'll be shocked, I know, to find out it was perpetrated by... Republicans.

North Carolina GOP Operative Faces New Felony Charges That Allege Ballot Fraud

Prosecutors in North Carolina filed new felony charges against a Republican political operative accused of ballot tampering in a congressional election in 2018.

Leslie McCrae Dowless was charged Tuesday with two counts of felony obstruction of justice, perjury, solicitation to commit perjury, conspiracy to obstruct justice and illegal possession of absentee ballots, according to a statement by Wake County District Attorney Lorrin Freeman.

The charges relate to the tainted 9th congressional district election last year in which Republican Mark Harris led in the unofficial vote tally by a margin of about 900 votes over Democrat Dan McCready. But the election results were overturned by the state after an investigation into an absentee ballot operation on Harris' behalf suggested that Dowless had improperly collected and possibly tampered with ballots.

Harris was not mentioned in the indictment and he chose not to run in the new election to be held this fall. That race will pit McCready against Republican Dan Bishop.

Dowless was indicted along with seven alleged co-conspirators. The operative was the alleged ringleader in a scheme instructing his co-conspirators to sign certifications that falsely stated they had seen a voter vote by absentee ballot, and improperly mailing in absentee ballots for someone who had not mailed it themselves.

This is the second set of charges for Dowless, who was arrested in February and accused of interfering in the district's primary election. He was charged then with three counts of felonious obstruction of justice, two counts of conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice and two counts of possession of absentee ballots.

State and federal authorities are still investigating the case, according to Freeman's statement.

If only hydroxychloroquine could cure Trump Derangement Syndrome

Not every Democrat has COVID-19; but they all – uniformly – apparently suffer from TDS, better known as Trump Derangement Syndrome. Symptoms of this wide-spread affliction include the inability to ever concede, or even imagine, that President Trump might possibly be right about something, sometime.

Because they have people who shouldn't be voting, voting for them.

If this wasn't the case, there really isn't any reason to be against it given that it is an international best practice. If the ANC suddenly came around and told everyone that henceforth, since there is little evidence of voter fraud, they will be scrapping the requirement for ID, do you not think that it would raise alarm bells?

And stating there is no fraud is impossible to know because people are not required to prove who they are. You can only do that in a system where people check IDs at the voting station.

They're citizens who just happen to not have photo IDs, which is not uncommon in the US. Why shouldn't they be voting if they are citizens?

Point is, the US does not have a very good, consistent way of ensuring that everyone has access to a photo ID. Most people of course do have a drivers license or a passport, but millions just don't. If they were to come out with a universal form of ID card - which I'm in favour of - and made sure it was straightforward for all citizens to get it - there wouldn't be a problem, but such a thing doesn't exist.

So you're insinuating that there is voter fraud, it's just undetected and that's your reason for forcing everyone to show their ID?

Absolute BS. Stop ignoring evidence and reality. If you have evidence of this then provide it. In fact provide it to the US Senate and I'm sure they will immediately award you with some award because they can't find this evidence themselves.

All you have is Trump and Republicans spewing kakpraat and you falling for it.
