Freudian slip from Fox News?

Comedy gold! Thanks I needed this this morning

Not really though, if the media is falsely smearing someone then they have every right to "attack the media".

Yes, if they're falsely smearing the person, but if they're simply reporting something that's come to their attention, and the person then tries to cast them as the bad guy, it says something. In this case, CNN reported what the governor said, AND contacted Tesla for their side of the story, which they were unable to get, and then Musk responded by questioning CNN's existence. It reminds me of how Trump and Elizabeth Holmes try to cast the media as the enemy when they report awkward facts.

Also, like when the media here in South Africa back in 2015 broke the story about how the trains that PRASA had ordered, were too large for our railways, and the executives at PRASA responded not by correcting possible misinformation, but by attacking the media and accusing them of racism.

"And I was angry, because this should have been told to us. It should have been told to us early. It should have been told to us a lot sooner. People knew it was happening and people didn't want to talk about it." - Donald J Trump

Also Donald J Trump, “I've always known this is a real, this is a pandemic. I've felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic.”

Donald Trump calling out Donald Trump.

They did.

Dont care one bit for CNN, i just find it amusing that you are complaining about a lack of fact checking whilst engaging in the same yourself (ie just scrolling through). Rather ironic hey
Ironic my fact checking(ie just scrolling through), provides actual facts. Facts cnn could have found with a simple google search, actual facts they refuse to acknowledge. Ironic anyone on the planet with the simplest understanding of the internet can find the facts cnn is completely incapable of finding with a simple google... No wonder you think I must be press with my 'fact checking'... CNN unable to use the internet and their braindead npc viewers out in force reeing to defend them, and just me 'scrolling through' provides move evidence and facts than the multibillion dollar industry. Rather ironic hey

The story is bullshit, all fact checking available for them, including their own damn stories, and they did nothing, and of course you give a **** about cnn or you wouldn't be going out of your way to defend them

You've now earned your place with tyson, congrats ;)

Tesla delivered 200 BPAP machines to California - not quite the same as 1000 ventilators.

He delivered what was promised

"They've arrived in Los Angeles... It was a heroic effort." - Newsom 24 March 2020

"I told you a few days ago that [Musk] was likely to have 1,000 ventilators this week," Newsom said, adding: "They've arrived in Los Angeles... It was a heroic effort."

So because Elon Musk, a man with a track record of empty promises, tweets that ventilators have been delivered, you believe this? I raise your tweet, with a Politico article:

https://www.politico.com/states/cal...re-of-elon-musk-ventilator-deliveries-1277318

Later Thursday, Los Angeles County Department of Health Services Director Christina Ghaly said in an emailed statement that Tesla had provided 100 bilevel positive airway pressure units in March — devices that can reduce “the need for certain patients to be placed on mechanical ventilation,” Ghaly said. The company also provided 200 gallons of hand sanitizer and 860 face shields.

“We are grateful to Tesla for their generous donation in support of patients with COVID-19,” Ghaly said.

But Ghaly, the spouse of top Newsom health official Mark Ghaly, offered no indication that Tesla provided ventilators. A Tesla representative did not immediately respond Thursday to a request for comment.

So I had my facts wrong. It's not 200 BIPAP machines, but 100.

Hmmm, believe CNN tabloid media or a LA County Health Department email posted by musk confirming it... decisions decisions

I have no issue with Tesla, by the way; I think that it is great that they are donating equipment. I do however think that it is unfair to attack CNN for reporting what they did, because (a) they simply reported what the Governor (a person in a position of authority) had said, (b) they tried to get comment from Tesla before publishing the story, and (c) there appears to be some factual basis to the story. So I don't think that it is fair to dismiss the story as "BS" as you have done.

CNN had multiple avenues to fact check. They didn't. Simple as that.

They've not updated the story yet to reflect that any deliveries did take place. I think that there will still be some interesting developments on this front. In the end, it may rest upon semantics: what is meant by a "ventilator" (as opposed to a CPAP or BPAP machine) and where *exactly* (California specifically?) did Tesla say the machines would be delivered.
