Coronavirus: Trump taking unproven drug hydroxychloroquine

Speaking at the White House, he told reporters he started taking the malaria and lupus medication recently.

"I'm taking it for about a week and a half now and I'm still here, I'm still here," was his surprise announcement.

There is no evidence hydroxychloroquine can fight off coronavirus, though clinical trials are under way.

There's also no evidence that either Trump or his doctor speak the truth at any point.
I don't think he's taking it - I think, as Greg says, that he's peddling it.
Is he sitting on a huge stockpile of the stuff?

Why do some people just do history so poorly?

If anything, the Soviets were probably at their most powerful at the end of WW2.

Secondly, taking on the Soviets during the Cuban Missile Crisis would have resulted in Mutually Assured Destruction. Had the Cold War gone hot, New York, Washington D.C. , Moscow and several cities would have all been nuked and effectively wiped off the map, within the first hour. That is why both Kennedy and Khrushchev went to great lengths to resolve it.

Well most normal people don't thrive in the midst of misery, death and squalor in a communist state sending people to war without weapons, telling them there's enough of their dead countrymen on the frontlines that they won't have a problem picking up a weapon.

And he does specifically say communism/socialism so that goes beyond just Russia and probably includes China and all the other shíthole countries.

However I do agree with you that what he said is really stupid. Communism cannot be destroyed through war/murder. Its a ideology that have deep roots in the west. So unless we are going to genocide college kids then there's no way.

Propper education might be the only way. That and letting the Communist that really want to be communist kill themselves on the other side of the world.

There's also no evidence that Trump is taking hydroxychloroquine. Always take what he says with a pinch of salt.

Because now we're talking about whether he is or isn't taking Hydroxy and not, you know, 90 694 dead Americans or cases starting to spike in states that reopened early.

Was he not initially criticised for hyping hydroxychloroquine as early as March. He wants hydroxychloroquine to work so that he can say, "I told you so". Also some of what Greg said, to change the conversation from the negative press that he's gotten relating to Corona.
