US Embassy in SA issues "prepper" warning to citizens

I always have a months supply of most of my needs, it is called monthly shopping.
The day before your monthly shop, how much do you have left in stock?

The same US Embassy that warned about a terrorist attack in SA.

How do I take them seriously now?
That's exactly why you should take them seriously. Their warning put everyone on alert and averted a terrorist attack. :p

If they are sending the warning they are up to something
I like the tips though, I need to memorise peoples mobile numbers

How much of that is usable if there is no power out of interest? (no refrigeration, minimal cooking facilities etc.)

  • Have a communications plan for when there is no or limited power (landline locations, external cell phone battery, additional charging cords, hard copy of important numbers, etc.)
  • Ensure you have necessary medicine, personal hygiene supplies, eyeglasses
  • Memorise family members’ phone numbers
  • Identify safe areas around the city; these could include hotels, hospitals, churches, or police stations that may not lose power
  • Store flashlights, batteries, radio, and basic tools in a safe location where all family members have easy access

That is going to be extremely difficult for most Americans given their average IQ.

I am currently sorted:

Then Generator

Then Gas bottles and two plate.

This is going to be niche, whoever can make this happen may become very powerful and wealthy very quickly. Starlink would be ideal...

US Embassy in SA issues "prepper" warning to citizens

The United States government has warned its citizens in South Africa to stockpile three days’ worth of supplies, including non-perishable food, 3 litres of drinking water per day, and medicine and first aid supplies.

It also says it expects load-shedding to continue beyond 2023.
That's so very funny, how come certain areas in Bloemfontein never gets loadshedding?? I'm working in kwaggafontein Reyneke Park lodge and we never had a day of loadshedding for a full month now and there are other areas too that almost never get loadshedding!??

If loadshedding was that serious then everyone should get loadshedding irrelevant of where and who you are of influence.

Amazon's Kuiper is probably the only one we have a realistic chance of getting with them already having a decent presence here.

Its a bit of an odd post so might be a few things but I thought I'd post just in case it was some poor soul. Also gave the mods a heads up.
