It would be different he owned up and sought forgiveness. Coming out of the gate lying about obvious things, and then further lying to the Senate leaves him with no credibility, including on this.

A proper investigation and hearing is what the victim and Dems are asking for - Republicans are blocking it. Think about that for a bit. And they're doing it for no actual reason - there is no actual deadline. They just want to ram it through with no proper oversight. His huge debt getting suddenly repaid right before his nomination is also something worth looking at, but again, Repubs don't want to. They've only released 4% of relevant documentation, and even that has shown him to lie multiple times.

Lets break it down.

  • The FBI cannot investigate as this does not fall within their jurisdiction. I have linked videos explaining this. On top of this, if you get authorities involved, we are talking criminal proceedings and proper investigative process, which means all allegations have to be proved beyond a reasonable doubt and not on a 50/50 basis. The FBI have investigated Kavanaugh I think 8 times in his lifetime already as well.
  • There is currently zero verifiable evidence on the table to investigate. There is no crime scene, no dates, there are no details which can be denied or corroborated. We have a vague details, which happened 36 years ago, one under a drunken haze and which details had to be recollected over a period of days. I believe the New York Times were investigating the second woman's allegations for weeks, but they did not run with the story as they could not find anyone to substantiate these claims.
  • Since there is no crime scene, all witnesses have denied knowing anything about these allegations, all that is left is to question the accusers and Kavanaugh, which the Senate Committee is doing tomorrow. Grassly needs to define the rules on how this is done, as Senate rules are a bit too extreme for this type of questioning.

And you are another one that has already judged the merits of this case by reports from the media. Not even one of these women have come out and testified as yet. How on earth do you assess credibility through third party sources?

The Republicans should have voted him in last week.

The UN General Assembly laughed at Trump.

About bloody time - derision is all he deserves.

The Germans practically pointing and laughing later on was good, too.
I would have thought the general warmongering would be of bigger concern than just another time that some dilutional lefties laughed at Trump for saying something stupid, but true, which he does everyday.

Hearing about it on the radio yesterday, I was sure it would pop up here.

It's no secret that the leftist governments don't like Trump, he's not here to win a popularity contest.

Brett Stephens letting us all know how he really feels about Rafael "Ted" Cruz

Because he’s like a serpent covered in Vaseline. Because he treats the American people like two-bit suckers in 10-gallon hats. Because he sucks up to the guy who insulted his wife — by retweet, no less. Because of his phony piety and even phonier principles. Because I see him as the spiritual love child of the 1980s televangelist Jimmy Swaggart and Jack Nicholson’s character in “The Shining.” Because his ethics are purely situational. Because he makes Donald Trump look like a human being by comparison. Because “New York values.” Because his fellow politicians detest him, and that’s just among Republicans. Because he never got over being the smartest kid in eighth grade. Because he’s conniving enough to try to put one over you, but not perceptive enough to realize that you see right through him. Because he’s the type of man who would sell his family into slavery if that’s what it took to get elected. And that he would use said slavery as a sob story to get himself re-elected.

Otherwise, you might say I’m his No. 1 fan.

Oh there's plenty that needs investigating.

1) Mark Judge should be questioned. Elizabeth Raser went on record to challenge his account and state that Judge told her about himself and other boys taking turns having sex with a drunk woman.
2) What does the comment "Renate Alumnus" mean or imply in Kavanaugh's yearbook? He makes the claim that he was a virgin throughout college but Renate Dolphin stated that she was appalled by the implication.
3) What does "FFFFFFourth of July" and "devil's triangle" mean in Kavanaugh's yearbook? Avenatti has some ideas.
4) Multiple eyewitnesses have stated that Kavanaugh was frequently, "belligerently", drunk, which is totally counter to his own record of himself.
5) What of the other woman who sent an email to Ford's lawyer about male students getting female students blind drunk on jungle juice and taking advantage of them?
6) At least two secondhand witnesses corroborated the account of Ramirez in some specific ways. It should be quite easy to investigate that event.
7) And let's not forget about whatever witnesses Avenatti claims to be ready to bring forwards in the next day.

The Supreme Court seat was left vacant for 400 days following the death of Antonin Scalia. So tell me, what's the rush?

Geez, secret meaning of words. Why don't you take this conspiracy nonsense to the Qannon thread.

Isn't it obvious? Both sides need / want a win before the mid-terms, one is rushing to appoint their nominee and the other is rushing to scream rapist from the rooftops, with or without proof.

The motive is obvious though. Rumour has it there's a few moves on the GOP side in the short term that depends on having a balanced / "favourable" supreme court in place as well.

I am not responding to allegations that are hearsay. Believe hearsay is credible evidence? I am going to save that card for later to show how biased it is.

What no one has mentioned is here is that one of Trump's campaign pormises was nominating someone that enshrines and upholds the values contained in their Constitution. This is a massive loss to the Trump administration if he cannot live up to his election promises. The Democrats have some very, very strong motives for playing so dirty.

Oh come on - you're just trolling now, aren't you?

Wait, so are you suggesting that the only way for Trump to fulfill that promise is to get Kavanaugh on the supreme court, no one else in the country could possibly fulfill the role of someone who "enshrines and upholds the values contained in their Constitution"

Really?

Trump did promise that? And can you show me where Kavanaugh has shown to disregard the Constitution?

I watched a few hours of his testimony, and he came across as fair and impartial. Did you? He however couldn't answer questions on Roe vs Wade.

 Did I suggest anything? :p

What you expect from Anti Trumpets. Sure they could rather spend their time influencing local politics but for some reason they are hellbend obsessed with American conspiracy idiocy.

This is like the "We believe you. Your sisters" video. Trial by media with hearsay is now acceptable. I am going to save that card for later.

Who needs DSTV when we have these crazy leftists making fools of themselves?:X3:

You must be joking.

Please can you direct me to a legal opinion which shows that Kavanaugh has been unduly biased?

Please also point out in his testimony where he demonstrates that he has made a bad ruling or opinion.

As said a while back, this thread title needs to be updated to 'US politics conspiracy thread'

What's that got to do with rape allegations?
