So, anyone still doubting NarrowBandFTW's bigotry?
Had this one with old OD in another thread. Many of the so-called "migrants" in Germany are rapists. That is a factually correct statement. I didn't say all of them are, hell I'm not putting any number on it at all.

Stating fact != bigotry. Falsely claiming I'm a bigot because of your own prejudice = bigotry.

LOL. A "decent" girl went to a drunken dorm party and got sqeezed decades ago.

"Sqeezed"?

I thought you had a daughter. How would you feel if she was "sqeezed" (as you so eloquently put it)?

I am not surprised that your bigotry also extends to misogyny.

So let's get this straight:

Republican Supreme Court nominee: not a rapist, cos false accusations.

Migrants fleeing a war zone: rapists, cos NBFTW says so... and no, he's not going to offer any evidence.

.
"The same Germans who handed their homeland over to rapefugees on a silver platter? "

Handing over their country? Very odd phrase to use if you think that a small minority of refugees are rapists....

Fact check: True

NBFTW "logic"

I suspect I am well more self aware than you are of yourself, but thank you anyway, Emjay.

Edit: this is off topic, but seeing as you claim to be female, what is your opinion on Seroously's "sqeezing" comment?

Sure. What I posted flies in the face of what you said a few days ago though. So thanks for educating me.
That is simply not true. My post about the "Overton Window" is not, by any means, negated by any political shift. I doubt your premise that the left is accelerating "leftwards" but the Overton Window covers this too. People on the the far left feel they are in the centre; because there will always be people on the extreme far left. It is the very premise of the "window" theory.

That also holds true for the right.

Edit: to clarify, the Overton Window theory can be applied at many levels. The "personal" level is where someone thinks they (and their friends) are normal and everyone else is either too far left or right. The "national" level is where sufficient people identify with the politics in the window that the discourse regards those outside the window as too far left or right.

I answered thinking of the "personal" level.

On the "national" level in the US, it doesn't matter if the left is accelerating leftwards (again, I doubt this premise) - the social window is still far right. The far left and the extreme left are confabulated with the moderate left. The window theory looks at what is acceptable to the public in general; a vast movement of leftists leftwards is not really going to shift the window, it will instead cement the placement in the far right because people can now point to something they fear. Read up on Republican Senator Joseph McCarthy for more on this topic.

Oh, look. It's Mr Overton Window. I wanted to ask you, did you adjust your own Overton Window to accommodate the left moving farther left at a faster pace than the right is moving right?

Seems like a positive development to me, given that the current Democratic party is bought and owned by corporate interests. But they have plenty of room to move leftwards before they catch up to the values you get in Scandanavian countries. I wonder how much further the Republican party can move right before they become indistinguishable from fascism.

Just LOL. USE OTHERS TO TRY TO GET TO ME.
What a loser. Even more self aware than someone else ... as if he knows the poster personally.
You live in your own bubble chom.

/Wonder about the new laws concerning home use of cannabis.

I think his comment was flippant and made without much thought. I am not going to put much stock into it, and won't use that to determine the essence of him. Just like NBFTW comment on the issue of migrant rapists. Calling someone a bigot is quite an accusation. I always believed in judging a man by his actions, and not his words. But whatever. All we have are words.

I have actually alluded to this type of behaviour above. I have had some shockers thrown my way by men (thankfully never been on the receiving end of sexual harassment at work however). I shook them off for what I perceived it to be at the time (just horny boys doing stupid things). I was younger and, tbh, didn't know how to stand up for myself. Now, I see some behaviours as morally wrong. But those guys were also young, inexperienced and had their moral compasses guided by the other guys around them. Also, the standards on how men treat women have changed significantly in the last twenty years as well. While women have become "free, sexual beings pursuing their own destiny", men have had to become far more conservative in how they treat and approach women (some warranted, some not). There is also a pervasive party and sexual culture in American and European colleges (whether that is really the case, I am open to debate). Now, throw these all together, and we get the current environment we are in today.

I do not think any of the men which I have had any run ins with deserve to have their previous works discredited, careers sabotaged and lives ruined. It really depends on the situation though. Attempted rape? Sure. My background however is in law. I did some work in family, commercial and labour law. So you can say I am biased in favour of due process. This means that I generally don't believe in things like hearsay and inadmissible evidence. That has been part of my moral compass for a long time.

Does it mean getting justice for women who are victims of serious sexual assaults is an easy process? Not at all. But I do strongly believe we should always maintain innocence before guilt.

Well said. All my respect to you.

Me and my scuddy comes a long way so forgive him.

I"m sorry, but the topic of rape is not one any human should be flippant about.

It is bizarre that me calling Seroously a bigot got more attention from you.

Anyway. I'm going to stop derailing.

Nope you are what you are and got seen through yet again.

No evidence? Do you never follow the news or just selectively forget after the fact?

Let me remind you both of 24 rapes committed by migrants on a single night in Germany:

"small minority" ... lol
