Right in the sense that it is "correct". Not right as opposed to left. The right would have you not allow any undesirables / challenges to their norms in at all. The left would open the flood gates AND pay for them.

Having the floodgates open and NOT paying for them is therefor balanced.

I see the problem here, you think being balanced means that you're neither too far to the left of libertarianism, nor too far to the right. You're the Goldilocks of The Fountainhead.

Ok, so you are advocating an extreme right position in hopes that the outcome lands in the middle?
No, purposely appeasing an extreme left position (open borders) and extreme right position (not on my dime) at the same time to engineer balance.

I disagree that charity instead of welfare is "extreme right" though. Like I already said, it is not the government's job, nor should they even remotely have the mandate, to force a certain moral view on ANYONE. They should not even have the funds for social welfare, which by default means charity or private enterprise becomes the only way such things can be funded.

That extends to sexual preferences, religion and literally almost every aspect of life. If the government stays out of it (very much centrist point of view) then what is the alternative?

I notice you ignored when I responded to your earlier post about this - Feinstein got the letter at the end of July, not in June. And you know full well if she just brought it up without vetting it, you'd have screeched just as loudly that they were doing it for political reasons. No way she could have done it would have pleased you.
I see the US post office is just as good as ours.. The letter is dated 30th June.

She should have applied her mind and realised that the FBI has already investigated the candidate numerous times. The FBI investigation that they have been demanding would have done exactly the same thing as what occured in he hearings. They would have obtained sworn witness under penalty statements and judged their veracity. None of which in this instance provided anything.

All the Democrats did with this matter is show how they are the party of Mattress Girl instead of the party of justice for all.

Solid Liberal for me - no surprise.

New Era Enterpriser

This relatively young, economically conservative, Republican-leaning group tends to be relatively moderate on immigration and views about America’s engagement with the rest of the world. Most say U.S. involvement in the global economy is a good thing and that immigrants strengthen the nation. As is the case with other GOP-leaning groups, a majority of New Era Enterprisers reject the idea that racial discrimination is the main reason many black people are unable to get ahead. Nearly two-thirds favor societal acceptance of homosexuality. New Era Enterprisers are less critical about government than other Republican-leaning groups.

These quizzes are unfortunately quite silly. I mean, the very first question is based on a false premise.

I'm probably a fairly boring mixture of old centre-left and social democracy.

Yeah. None of these tests don't really predict where we are with any certainty. This one has been consistent, and Pew have used these questions for a very long time to study shifts in majority beliefs/ideals.

NBFTW, maybe take the test. I think you are a bit more right than you think.
Oh I have, and sure enough the test says so. The test is terribly constructed, there are no "centrist" answers available to any of the questions posed, it is engineered to stick you on "right" or left".

I can quite literally pick apart every single question, but I'll stick to the first as an example:
The government should do more to help needy Americans, even if it means going deeper into debt

The government today can't afford to do much more to help the needy

Now here's the problem: the government should not have any debt at all, the government has no role in morality whatsoever. Even if the government has an immense surplus, they should be giving it back to the people that gave it to them, they've clearly collected too much tax. They do not get to decide who is "needy" or "not needy".

See the problem? That viewpoint is impossible to express in a test designed to classify one as either right or left, I'm forced to say the government can't afford it because that is "closest" even though it is miles away from my actual stance.

I was working under the assumption that the US postal service actually worked as the letter was dated 30 June, clearly that is not the case. So that part I can understand.

The way she should have dealt with it is to bring it in their meetings the moment she heard about it and discussed it with the Senate to determine a course of action. The guy has already had numerous investigations by the FBI into his life. Either the FBI are incompetent or they simply didn't find anything.

But if delays bother you, wait till you hear about this guy called Merrick Garland.
Delays don't bother me. If there was corroborating evidence in this matter, it would have been necessary to delay the vote. And please, if the Democrats get the majority, we are guaranteed to see 4 years of delays for any candidate to the right of Garland.

What bothered me is the absolute willingness to drop the presumption of innocence. This is the politics of Mattress Girl, not of justice.

Saying you're centralist is just sitting on the fence. You have to pick a side.
Most people would classify your libertarian view as on the right.4ae.jpeg

@RudyGiuliani

Senator Lindsay Graham distinguished himself today as the fairest man and the best lawyer in Washington. He voted for Justices Sotormayor and Kagen on old fashioned principles. I also did. If he is going to vote for Judge Kavanaugh, the Senate all should.

1:41 AM - 28 Sep 2018 from Manhattan, NY

You tell 'em Rudy! Tell 'em how you voted for Sotormayor, sorry Sotomayor, when you were a senato... No, wait, back up... Tell 'em how you voted for Kagen, sorry Kagan, when you were in congre... No, wait...

Wonder where all this faux outrage was when hearing after hearing was concluded and we still hear this to this day:
