Ya can’t mess with Koch money. If you think Charlie and Dave haven’t been on the phone to their toadies, you haven’t been paying attention.
Jip. I didn't pay any attention, and don't care much for the detail. Only the bigger political war is of some interest to me. What does Koch have to do with anything and who is charlie and dave? Sorry I'm not on a first name basis with any of the idiots involved.

You shouldn't be in this thread if you don't know the Koch brothers.

Charles and David Koch. They've been throwing money at the GOP, more specifically the Tea Party nut jobs in the GOP, for ages now...

Paul Ryan got $500 000 from Charles days after getting the tax bill through congress, so you know why he's trying to intervene for them now.

So the Koch brothers are satanic pedophiles? Just want to get the narrative straight.

If you live in the alternate universe Xarog inhabits, they're probably working with Abraham Lincoln to hunt vampires and slay pedophiles.

The way you guys look at George Soros and Tom Steyer is the way we see the Koch brothers and the Mercers.
The Koch brothers are cancer, but they're amateur wannabes compared to Soros.

You must want in on the bet to be making noises about it.

Nope. After watching Sam Nunberg’s slow motion car wreck yesterday I’m jonesing for another one and yours will do.

Well the only thing that's getting wrecked right now is the idea that you have anything but hollow taunts to defend yourself with.

Edit: Btw, Nunberg's performance was quite something. I especially loved how he insinuated that Carter Page was colluding with Russians. Wouldn't it be fun it if turns out that this was true because Carter Page was playing spy for the Clintons? Given that Page was part of Bill Clinton's transition team, I'd say we're looking at something outright plausible if not likely. :whistling:

That response... The schadenfreude... In Whoville they say that Greg’s small heart grew three sizes that day.

That's the Palestinian position but Israel refuses to compromise.

The whole idea of an "international city" is a bit stupid. The concept hasn't really worked in the past. Most of them end up being conquered anyway by the stronger of the powers. Which has kinda already happened

I think a more sustainable position would be let Israel keep Jerusalem (which means all the people in it become Israelis), then as part of the process, there has to be a mandatory quota of free religious visas to the holy sites that Israel has to provide.

I wouldn't count Paul Ryan amongst the tea party nut jobs. He might have just used some of their ideas to grab power in the past.

Seems the Kochs are pretty much the GOP establishment equivalent to Sarros.
Former Republican congressman*Joe Scarborough, co-host of MSNBC's*Morning Joe, has pointed out that, although their critics are usually unaware of the fact, the Koch brothers have supported more than just what are generally considered conservative causes. They opposed*George W. Bush*on many issues, are*pro-choice, support*same sex marriage, and worked closely with the*Obama White House*for the*Obama administration's*criminal justice reform*initiatives that aligned with their own.[24][25]

So if you don't agree with Ryan intervening for the Kochs does that make you a Trump supporter?

I'm quite happy with any libertarian causes they support however that shouldn't allow them to buy politicians. Drain the swamp, Ryan is a swamp donkey.

I think if you're of the opinion that trade wars are easy, you're in the Trump camp. If you can't imagine fallout from a trade war, you're in the Trump camp... Ryan is in Ryan's camp and it's furnished by Koch money.

There are other, valid opinions, where real concerns are raised, but none of those are reflected by Trump's tariff plan or Ryan's hypocrisy.
