Firstly, thank you for posting an intelligible question that can be answered.

Do you think Trump's response is warranted? Is there any evidence that there are Middle Eastern criminals in their numbers? If so, there should absolutely be military action taken to prevent them from entering the country. If not, I'd suggest that it's maybe not the crisis that Trump is hyping it up to be.

From all available evidence, it looks like a group of fairly benign mostly Honduran and Mexican immigrants. I think they should be processed and treated like any other would-be immigrant. I can't see anything to suggest that they pose an existential threat to Americans but it's certainly a humanitarian crisis.

They dont post a threat to the American economic structures like medical care and wellfare?
America must open their border to the unwanted, unqualified or even maybe illiterate people of all the failing South American nations seeking freebies for life in America without the possibility of giving any viable economic contributions?

Defending your border from invasion is a right. They have a right to do it. It's not PC but it needs to be done.

It doesn't 'need' to be done. Nothing 'needs' to be done. You certainly don't 'need' to mow down thousands of refugees. It shouldn't even be a serious conversation unless they presented an existential threat to your own citizens. Illegal border crossing is not an invasion, it's a misdemeanor felony. Absolutely nothing in this whole situation can justify slaughtering unarmed civilians simply because they attempted to cross the border illegally.

If Trump does something and we call him out on it, but his sheeplike followers simply ignore it, it doesn't actually invalidate the criticism.

Just yesterday Trump claimed that he was going to effect a tax cut aimed at the middle class before the midterm elections, that basically has no chance of happening because Congress is closed till after the elections. When questioned about it, he prevaricated and didn't give an answer.

Do I think anything will happen as a result? Of course not, Trump can say whatever he wants without consequence, apparently.

The best bet for Trump is to dispel them non-lethally. That way he can get credit for defending the border as well as making a perfect case for the wall.

Isn't the number 7k now? I don't see how you use rubber bullets teargas etc. to stop a mob that big without the loss of life.
