Nope if you have transgressed the law then you should not be above it - the GOP established 4 commissions and not a single one could attribute fault to her, we are not even talking about a criminal offence. On the other hand if you acted against campaign rules etc no one should hide behind their office.

She broke the law, and was found to be lying multiple times. They chose not to pursue criminal charges.

There is a big difference.

If I do the same at my job I would be fired as a minimum. I don't know what you do for a living that you don't get how serious it is to not store classified information correctly.

Inviting your enemy to hack you is pretty much standard practice. People stress test their system all the time. I believe Microsoft even ran competitions and offered rewards if someone can hack them or find bugs.

"Blackface" is deemed to be racist. What happens if my little white boy admires someone like Stevie Wonder, and wants to dress up to celebrate his idol? The intent behind it is good, and is a celebration of culture.

When we do things in life, we are also judged to some degree by our intent. If I kill some with my car, my prosecution is largely based on intent.

Instead, we are now labelling people based on minor actions which are open to massive interpretation, and how they make others feel.

The problem here is the faux outrage. Megyn Kelly had the gall to raise an opinion which is not mainstream.

It's not deemed to be racist, it is racist. You can't profess to be ignorant of the history and implications of blackface.

If your little white boy wanted to blacken up his face, I hope you, a socially aware adult, would explain why it's inappropriate and it might hurt the feelings of the black children in his classroom. Children can do that stuff. My little boy once told a black child in our car that he thinks black people are disgusting, it caused an enormous offense and I was mortified. But it was a good opportunity for a conversation.

When Megyn Kelly, a noted race baiting 'journalist' who is also an adult who can damn well take responsibility for her own actions, feigns ignorance over the legacy of blackface, you'll forgive me for not rushing to her defense.

I do expect more from the president but I also don't think it's too much to ask that his political opponents do the same. I said so in my original post.

That would be legitimately racist of your boy, because of his intent. It is nothing like dressing up as a Zulu and painting yourself brown.

It's a stupid concept. It is not racist. Soft people like you who conflate everything are the issue.

And losing a job over expression of an opinion is the antithesis of freedom of speech.

Oh, and your daughter now dressing up as a Disney princess is now sexist, because Disney princesses require a prince to rescue them. So if you let your daughter dress up as any princess, you are a now a sexist too.
