Imagine for a second that he knows that there's such a rating system, and he also knows how useless it is in practice. Like when are people gonna wake up and realise they're being played?"We have to look at the internet because a lot of bad things are happening to young kids and young minds and there minds are being formed, and we have to do something about maybe what they're seeing and how they're seeing it. And also video games. I'm hearing more and more people say the level of violence on video games is really shaping young people's thoughts. And you go one further step and that's the movies. You see these movies, and they’re so violent, a kid is able to see the movie if sex isn’t involved, but killing is involved, and maybe they have to put a rating system for that." - Donald J Trump. Is someone going to tell him?
Going with a Daily Beast link 'cos The Hill has one of those annoying autoplay popup video thingies

I'm glad to see Manafort fry, so your smack talk needs work.A federal judge just turned down Paul Manafort's latest bail offer and Rick Gates was fired by his attorney... But you stay woke now, ya hear.

But did you know Mueller is using the Steele Dossier as his roadmap for proving Trump/Russia collusion? :crylaugh:
Also, seriously, 4D chess means making your opponent take off the table the very move you don't want them to make. Trump did it masterfully with his schithole countries comment, and the Dems gained nothing for it. You should learn not to take the bait.
IT DIDN’T GET much notice, but Sen. Jim Risch made extremely alarming remarks on Sunday at the Munich Security Conference, in which he said President Donald Trump is prepared to start a “very, very brief” war with North Korea that would be “one of the worst catastrophic events in the history of our civilization.” Trump would go to these extraordinary lengths, the Idaho Republican said, in order to prevent the government of Kim Jong-un from developing the capacity to deliver a nuclear warhead to the U.S. via an intercontinental ballistic missile.
Risch will likely become chair of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, if the GOP maintains control of the Senate and the current chair, Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., retires. Risch said he and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H. — who was sitting next to him on stage at the conference in Germany — had “drilled down with the administration” on its North Korea policy. Risch emphasized that the Trump administration was not bluffing.
If Risch is correct, Trump is willing to cause “mass casualties the likes of which the planet has never seen” in a conflict with North Korea, rather than rely on principles of deterrence that have prevented nuclear war between the U.S. and Russia and the U.S. and China for many decades.
Nope, pointing and laughing is taking the bait in this instance. You've confused pointing and laughing with taking the bait, but I get it... You're on the hook of every grifter ever, so you don't know the difference.
Nope, pointing and laughing is taking the bait in this instance.
You laugh at Trump for not knowing something obvious, which then turns into a big debate about the obvious, and the first conclusion about the obvious is that the existing regulations obviously don't work. So then by virtue of your laughter, you incur the very reasonable cost of having to explain what's different about a working regulation before you even start to talk about the regulations themselves (in this case gun regulations).Wait. Where does having a good laugh fit on your liberal tears scale? Left of Twitter rant or right of sit-in at your representative's office?

In the same way, Trump managed to get the Dems to spike the deal they were working on by talking about "schithole countries", leading to the Dems telling the world that America thinks other places are schithole countries, creating an international diplomatic incident, and the left-wing then going on a moral crusade about how great places like Haiti are when it's so obviously a lie, all for the sake for trying to laugh at Trump. Well congrats ya knuckleheads, you just ensured that you don't get to say that the immigration measures enable people to escape a life of misery cuz you said there's no such thing as schithole countries, remember?
So what do you think, is Trump really that oblivious about the existence of existing regulations, or is he simply goading you into adopting a position that isn't in your best interests?
Were we? To me it looked like Trump was making comments about the underlying causes of school mass shootings. The fact that his strategy is flexible enough to be deployed in multiple scenarios is one of its selling points, I'd say.You realise we're talking about movie ratings here, not US foreign policy, yes?

Eh? How can an attorney fire a client?Oh dear. Remember when I said a federal judge turned down Paul Manafort's latest bail offer and Rick Gates was fired by his attorney?
Mueller just filed new charges... A 32 count indictment.
Bad day for those two boys... I'm calling it, Gates flips first.
That's the bait. As I said, do you really think Trump is so catastrophically oblivious to the world that he wouldn't know about movie ratings?Sweet Jesus... No. Nope. Nee. Everything in that post was back-story for:
"And you go one further step and that's the movies. You see these movies, and they’re so violent, a kid is able to see the movie if sex isn’t involved, but killing is involved, and maybe they have to put a rating system for that."
Everything.
Eh? How can an attorney fire a client?
And why do you think Manafort has anything on Trump after only having worked for Trump for 2 months?![]()
