White House preparing for McMaster exit as early as next month

The White House is preparing to replace H.R. McMaster as national security adviser as early as next month in a move orchestrated by chief of staff John Kelly and Defense Secretary James Mattis, according to five people familiar with the discussions.

The move would be the latest in a long string of staff shakeups at the White House over the past year and comes after months of strained relations between the president and McMaster.

So...

Hope Hicks kept a diary. A “detailed diary.”

I know one person who’ll want to read it.

Bonus; he has the authority to subpoena her for it.
You're assuming that there's something there for him to find. :crylaugh:

The only thing in the dossier that the FBI could verify was that Page went to Russia. Mueller's got nothing.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/do...g-what-trump-knew-about-hacked-emails-n851941

And given the fact that it's becoming more and more apparent that Seth Rich was indeed the DNC leaker, that's also nothing but a wild goose chase. I know it must be hard to accept, but there really is zero evidence that Trump colluded with the Russians.

Bonus: Admiral Rogers met with Trump unofficially before he took office. He would have been in an excellent position to be aware of FISA court abuse. If he informed Trump of what was going on, then the moment that Comey confessed to Trump that the dossier's contents were salacious and unverified then Trump would have a damn good reason to fire the arrogant son of a bitch.

Face it, this Russiagate investigation is a hopeless straw clutching exercise concocted via the minds of some very desperate and thoroughly corrupt morons who never thought Trump could win, and thanks to Mueller's indictment of those Russian Trolls, Trump has every excuse he needs to nuke those involved with the Clinton campaign over their collusion with Steele. "Obama guy" IG Horowitz's report should be arriving any day now. Wanna bet it's jam packed with all sorts of saucy allegations?

Four guilty pleas and nineteen indictments so far, but yeah, nothing... Also, Seth Rich? Really? Still? Is anyone other than Hannity (and you) still on that? In the real world, Richard Burr and Mark Warner say Devin Nunes is a leaker and *that* I believe.

Finally, I still haven't seen George Soros, Hillary or Obama in cuffs for child sex trafficking yet... It March... Tick tock, tick tock...

What did Nunes leak? :crylaugh:

As for Seth Rich:

Rather recent, wouldn't you say?

As for the indictments and guilty pleas, none of it connects back to Trump, and Flynn's prosecution is very likely bogus if Comey wasn't lying for once.

We're at the halfway mark, and the show is just about to really start. Patience, grasshopper. ;)

Patience? Yeah, I absolutely have luxury ‘cos, as you well know, my continuing participation on this forum isn’t inexorably linked to an April deadline.

It's a witch hunt that keeps finding witches, weirdly.

And notice how all the howling and screaming from conspiracy theorists about supposed Deep State malfeasance has led to exactly nothing but more sandcastles built on air.

So why don't you exercise some, and instead of busting your nut over what's supposedly a month away, why not address the facts at hand before you right now?

Not a day passes where I’m astonished by Xarog’s ability to ignore observable fact and back up that ignorance with walls of text.

SEC Dropped Inquiry Into Financial Firm That Gave Kushner Cos. $180M Loan

The Securities and Exchange Commission late last year dropped its inquiry into a financial company that a month earlier had given White House adviser Jared Kushner’s family real estate firm a $180 million loan.

JARED KUSHNER’S REAL-ESTATE FIRM SOUGHT MONEY DIRECTLY FROM QATAR GOVERNMENT WEEKS BEFORE BLOCKADE

THE REAL ESTATE firm tied to the family of presidential son-in-law and top White House adviser Jared Kushner made a direct pitch to Qatar’s minister of finance in April 2017 in an attempt to secure investment in a critically distressed asset in the company’s portfolio, according to two sources. At the previously unreported meeting, Jared Kushner’s father Charles, who runs Kushner Companies, and Qatari Finance Minister Ali Sharif Al Emadi discussed financing for the Kushners’ signature 666 Fifth Avenue property in New York City.

...

The failure to broker the deal would be followed only a month later by a Middle Eastern diplomatic row in which Jared Kushner provided critical support to Qatar’s neighbors. Led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, a group of Middle Eastern countries, with Kushner’s backing, led a diplomatic assault that culminated in a blockade of Qatar. Kushner, according to reports at the time, subsequently undermined efforts by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to bring an end to the standoff.

Trump causing absolute chaos with his declaration of intent to impose tariffs on steel and aluminium imports.

His ignorance is glaring.

Quite.

Electrolux puts $250 million US investment on hold over Trump's tariff hike

From the last couple of times they did this:

Trump Repeats Nixon's Folly

The last time the U.S. imposed steel tariffs, back in 2002, the project was abandoned after 20 months. A 2003 report commissioned by industries that consumed steel estimated that the Bush steel tariffs cost in excess of 200,000 jobs—or more than the total number of people then employed in the entire steel industry at the time.

The stupidity being that he's ostensibly aiming it at punishing China, but they're not even in the top 10 of countries they import steel from. Instead he's punishing allies like Canada (#1) and South Korea (#2).

Then again, what can you expect from someone who says stupid schit like:

"Trade wars are good, and easy to win."

and

"IF YOU DON’T HAVE STEEL, YOU DON’T HAVE A COUNTRY!”

^ apparently making steel more expensive (and thus harder to get) is supposed to counter-act this.

I think we’ve figured out why President Trump is doing the Steel and Aluminum tariffs ahead of the NAFTA withdrawal. Perhaps, the wolverine administration is using Steel and Aluminum to draw attention to the NAFTA fatal flaw.

Earlier today Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland stated:

“Should restrictions be imposed on Canadian steel and aluminum products, Canada will take responsive measures to defend its trade interests and workers,” Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland said in a statement, calling any trade restrictions“absolutely unacceptable.” (link)

The key word in that statement from Freeland is “products”. Why? because Canada doesn’t make raw Steel. (Top 40 List) The Canadians, like the Mexicans, import their raw steel from China. Canada then fabricates products from the Chinese steel. This nuanced point is almost always lost on people who discuss trade. This point of origination is also the fatal flaw within NAFTA.

In essence Canada is a brokerage for Chinese manufactured material, and NAFTA is the access trade-door exploited by China for entry into the U.S. market.
