"I don’t believe in crying, it's just not my thing. I have nothing against it when someone cries, but when I see a man cry I view it as a weakness. I don't like seeing men cry." - Donald J Trump

Judging by the facial response of his wife he may have another long period of celibacy ahead of him.

OH GOOD, HE'S SHOUTING AGAIN.

How would you react if you were fighting for everything after having sexual assault allegations are thrown at you? Would you be a cool cat, that is not emotional?

How do you get to this? She is nodding in agreement with him on some statements. I just see complete sadness in her face. How do you see a scorned women who is now going to withhold sex?

I'd hope I could pull off just half of the dignity Dr Ford carried herself with? You?

You think forced tears are portraying dignity? She was credible, but she did not present any new or verifiable evidence.

And, if Kavanaugh was calm and collected, you would point to him being unfeeling, and so confident that he is just going through the motions, and this hearing was a foregone conclusion?

As someone who identifies as Dem, I'd be more concerned that Kav was giving Republicans far more cover to push through his nomination if he *were* calm and collected.
Right now, he just looks like a man who's privilege is being threatened, so he's having a tantrum.

This is a hearing. Which comes down to evidence and not subjective interpretation of the performance of the people testifying.

Remember that one time folk here were posting that photo of Peter Strzok smirking, like it was some kind of character analysis? Good times...

Here's Brett Kavanaugh.

We, Brett's already provided his calendar... Let's all go home now.

You couldn't be more wrong. All evidence has been shut out from this sham of a hearing, and as far as the American people are concerned it's 100% about the impression these two make. Kavanaugh is coming across like the weenie we all kind of suspected he was, whereas Ford was credible and quite heartbreaking.

And now he's defensive over Mark Judge... Interrupting Leahy, and he's already interrupted DiFi. A good look.

That not how many are seeing it. But I am not surprised you will see zero credibility in him.

Kavanaugh's career is over. Do I need to do a dance for you to show you that I am pleased about a man's life ending? He is getting his just desserts. So is his family. What more do you want? Do you want this man publically flogged or hung?

His career as a judge might be over, am sure he can still go back to practicing law - being a judge isn't for everyone.

Can we dispense with this nonsense? No, his career isn't over. He'll go back to being a judge with a lifetime appointment who pals around in elite conservative DC circles.

I am discussing both, because both are relevant, unless you are here to push intersectionality and virtue signal.

Edit:

Can you agree that women not coming forward when witnessing sexual assault on others and attending parties where crimes are being committed is bad judgement?

Can you agree that we should be having this discussion with our children as they grow up in order to instill such morals in them?

Of course, but why only the women? How about the men involved or who gleefully participate in the culture that makes this stuff happen and get swept under the rug. I mean, it's clear that many people still don't even think a bunch of guys taking turns with a blacked out girl is actually rape. It was way worse back then.

Read this in light of Blasey-Ford's testimony, where one of her most vivid memories is of Kavanaugh and Judge laughing together at her expense.

Read this story about what often happens when teenage girls report it. They get dogpiled and get their lives destroyed. Blasey-Ford has come under such a barrage of attacks, including credible death threats which forced her to move.

Read the research about why it doesn't get reported.

There are three separate accusations against Kavanaugh. Two of them have supporting witnesses. The one who doesn't have corroborating evidence is the only one being questioned. Mark Judge is sipping mojitos somewhere. Grassley spent the better part of 15 minutes grousing about democratic interference and reiterating his undying fealty to K. The whole hearing has zero credibility. Yet notwithstanding, Ford's testimony was remarkable, and K is totally crumbling under the pressure.
