USA changes broadband speed benchmark to 25mbps

'Broadband' new speed definition

All the ISP's, Telcos and MVNO's better look out...
The FCC has voted to change the definition of broadband to a minimum of 25Mbps

Which makes probably 80% of the services offered in SA NOT broadband (when they are all advertised as such)

The FCC has no jurisdiction here, only ICASA's definition counts. And by that, they are broadband.

Anyways, even in the US where this counts, they only need to change "broadband" to "high-speed" in the ads and all is well.

What is this "Broadband" that you speak of?
