USA Refugee Admissions Program For South Africans

America is wild. Fleeing a war stricken country and literally in mortal danger every day: then you get back to the back of line and maybe we'll let you in (but if you're too brown probably not).

Also America: Hey I see you're white and there is a slim possibility that you might be oppressed at some undetermined time in the future, here is a special application for you guys.
 
I'm still just keeping an open mind. Interested to see what happens in this thread.

Will monitor the amount of applications and actual people leaving in the coming months or years.
A big factor will be what other people do. It's all fun, games and jokes until the possible reality of massive tax burdens hit us due to an exodus of skill and businesses.

If this is in fact some kind of "mass" exodus and not just a storm in a teacup or Trumpian PR stunt, then I sure as s**t don't want to hang around any longer. I'm leaning more towards other 3rd world countries, though, the US has never been on my radar. I have a friend in South America and he's loving it there, Curitiba. I want to chat to him first.

The other problem is that if you're in the tech sector, the US doesn't seem too attractive. The competition is insane, and earning a living wage there while competing with outsourcing seems to be a nightmare.

You have no idea what you're in for there either. They could tell you to clean toilets and you'll have no choice...

Majority of South American countries are horrible (in terms of how they're run). My father is from Argentina, that government makes ANC look competent.
