Usage inaccurate

I'm sure it's just a glitch in the system. My stats haven't moved.

I've downloaded more than 2GB already and I'm still not capped.
 
The modem is used to authenticate a session (basically, only my account will work on this modem and only this modem can be used with my account) and I'm pretty sure only one concurrent session can be run, so it's very unlikely that it's someone somehow managing to figure out what my username and password is, then managing to spoof my modem's authentication and somehow bypassing the session limit.

I was not aware of this

Amazing how I managed to use that amount of cap when every PC was switched off! We had nothing switched on overnight except for the router and the modem and yet the cap still disappears (and no it's not the router using cap). I've checked, the light on the iBurst modem that indicates activity does not flicker at all while I'm not actively using the internet, so wherever the cap is disappearing from, it's not disappearing from here! :mad:

EDIT: So I'm at 1.6GB cap lost without a trace thus far :mad:

Now I am at more than 74Gb. So more than 2 Gb since 10:56PM when actual figures are at most 400Mb.
 
I agree this is disgusting, I am having similar usage issues but now I can't even check what my usage is, I-Burst need to get into some serious sh*t because of this, Gb=Rands that we pay them. If these stats are inaccurate, then it means that we are being ripped off!
 
me too last night i scheme sweet lemme do some arena i mean i havent played wow in over 3 weeks

so i log in.. and i disconnect

my gf says she has been lagging all day
i check speedtest

DL speed = 0.02kb
UPload speed 0.15 kb

so i go check my bandwidth usage
and here it is to my disgust ( keep in mind only my gf has been playing wow since the first of december , i have been busy with dragon age origins )

Upload 1097
Carrier over 1700 ( from a 3 gig cap)

Total 6177

Remaining 00
 
Seems to be a common problem, then. I insist on a full refund of missing cap to everyone who was affected by this, including fixing the problem that caused it! The iBurst representative has been exceptionally quiet about this. Might have to send yet another PM...
 
Cap gremlins stealin' cap?

Hey all.

I haven't had the exact same issue, but i must say I Bursts current bandwidth usage monitor is definitely messed up.

I don't check my bandwidth regularly, however, i do keep tabs on how much i use, and how much i have in the beginning of the month.

I started on the 1st With 3gig's and 1.8 carried over (4.8 gigs remaining)

Every time i had checked there after (while waiting to see when i would be migrated) my amounts stayed the same.

I used about 1.6 gigs tops since the 1st.

Today my mail came through stating i am on the new package and too my surprise, what do i see when i check my bandwidth?

Increased DL? Increased UL? Exact same amount remaining? extra cap no alocated yet?

To tell you the truth, i think i Burst knows less about whats going on than we do.
 
While my usage did not change, my amount remaining was reduced by ~50MB. And all I did between this post and my previous one was log a complaint on the iBurst website, ironically enough :rolleyes:

On this note, have you had any response from Iburst on that?

I tried to call them, and every i get to the voice i got cut and then a engaged tone. so i left a message to be contacted ASAP (within 30 mins if possible) since i could not contact them. They had my Email Addy, contact number, iburst user name.

That was last week Tuesday, i haven't had any form of response, not even a email stating they cant call me cause of what ever sad excuse they could think of.

No response from iBurst at all. Even sent them an email, a message on Twitter, a message on Facebook, a complaint on their website, a complaint on HelloPeter, tried phoning them numerous times, sent a PM to the representative here and started this thread. Thus far, zilch! :mad:

EDIT: My father just got off the phone with a guy named Mark at iBurst (after being put on hold for 47 minutes), who admitted that the statistics are incorrect, they are aware of it, they will escalate and get back to us. Now we wait...

At least you're getting stats, inaccurate as they may be. Whenever I log into the iBurst site, I get nothing, no numbers at all show up on the bandwidth meter.

BTW, is the iBurst user portal also excruciatingly slow for you guys too? Just logging into the system takes almost a minute for me, once I click the "login" button.

Indeed, about 40% of the time I get a "Request timed out" ASP error, 40% of the time "Apologies an error has occured during login", 10% of the time zeroed stats and 10% of the time I somehow manage to log in after a few minutes of waiting :rolleyes:

Well, first step for them is knowing.... one of the next steps better be making the clients happy :P

I mean its plainly obvious that that usage is bs considering 7 days in, im sure even if I tried as hard as i could I could not reach that amount :p
