Ok, I had Vista Ultimate and uninstalled it.

Installed XP Pro(32bit)

I'm using a Asus M2N-Sli Deluxe mobo and can't seem to get USB 2 to install.

I get the following message: "Please using Windows XP SP1 (Service Pack 1) or later versions, you DO NOT need to
install this driver, because they already contain software support for USB 2.0. "

I have got service pack 2 installed but still no USB 2 :(

I have googled it, downloaded the driver from the asus website but still it gives me the exact same messages.

Any help?

I have got SP3 RC version, could this possibly help?

I also downgraded from Windows Vista. I used www.driveragent.com to help me to get the Windows XP drivers for my machine. You have to pay and I know that most people are allergic to paying for anything on the Internet...

Can you extract the drivers from the file you downloaded? Then go to device manager, right click on one of the USB host controllers and update the driver, pointing it to the extracted files.
Alternatively I've had some luck in the past by deleting all usb devices and then scanning for hardware changes (not recommended if you're using a usb mouse and keyboard, though they will be picked up again after rebooting...).

There is normally USB 2.0 drivers on the MB driver CD.

I know, but the weird part is it only becomes available after you install service pack 2 and gives the exact same message when I try to install it then.

I can't understand this, does it have something to do with my motherboard?

Asus?

You might have to uninstall the USB devices (Should have yellow exclamation marks on them), and then reboot. It should then pick up the devices and install without hassle.
