USB C to Audio cable for iPad pro

I have the new iPad Pro and just bought an AP Link USB C to audio cable adapter that does not work - the sound still comes out the speakers (tried on 2 sets of earphones)

Can anyone recommend or link to an adapter cable that actually does work on the new iPad?

They say it work with iPad 11

If it is not, you can give it back, test it in store!

Thanks, I think I'll go to the store to check it like you say. I assumed these would all work, so ordered the last one from Takealot.

I have an 11" Ipad Pro and use the above (Apple) adapter and it works fine.
