Hey, I cleaned my clothing not known my USB FLASH drive was in my waste coat jacket, and today I found my usb flash side inside, I'm amazed, that it is still in operation.... Could this actually be possible

It's all solid state stuff - sealed. It may corrode a few connectors if left wet or full of soap.

My Sony Microvault has been soaked and handwashed :0
Somehow it still survived lol. The cap fit on pretty snugly so little water got through

Please kiddies, I know it's obvious, but please make sure the drive is dry before you plug it in.

I've had too many clients, wondering, does it still work and then shorts out their USB port or even the entire board.

btw, if you are looking for an near indestructible flashdrive, look no further than the Corsair flash voyager, or if you want one that you can loose at the bottom of a 200m deep lake for a few weeks, the Corsair flash Survivor should suffice.

In general, the weakest past of these flashdrives are the connectors and the casing.

I jumped in a pool with my Kingston flash drive and no prob. What sets it apart from jumping in a pool with say a phone is that there's no current running through it.

Probably best not to iron it. :)

Also, if you dropped it in salt water and it's capless, give it a good wash in fresh water to get rid of the salt which, if left, will corrode it.

My KinMax flash drive went "missing" for a few days. I thought I had lost it, so I bought a new one. But wouldn't you know - found it in the pocket of a pair of trousers that when to the wash.

Someone mentioned sumbergin a phone? I was at a house party once, got thrown into the pool some time during the night. Next day I couldn't find my phone. Phoned the party host, he said he didn't see anything but would let me know if he finds something. He phoned me the next day - he was cleaning the pool and found the phone at the bottom....

You guessed it - after taking at apart and blowdrying it, it still worked! I used it for about two more years. Nokia 5110....
