USB Power cable

I have one of these, I got one when I bought my external hard drive. I have no clue where to buy one on it's own? Maybe call up Rectron or Sahara and ask if they can organise something for you.

In that case, call PCInternational. You don't have to be a dealer and they can normally organise these things for you.
 
You're looking for a standard USB to mini-usb cable.

You get them with most devices that have a mini-usb port (cameras etc).

Not so - take a careful look at the plug opposite to the USB plug. It is for power only and is Not a mini usb.
 
Try incredible corruption - I saw one there not long ago. They also sell a different cable that couples two usbs into one in order to provide more power.

Yes its a power cable that uses the usb port to supply power.

i have one that uses the two usb port to supply one usb port. problem is that it is the two flat usb port into one flat usb port and i need a two flat into one square usb slot for the device.

weird - mine's not like that. iirc it also came with various adaptors to change the end.
 
The first picture in your first post looks like it has a round pin on the one side and normal USB on the other side. I have one of those cables lying around here somewhere...
 
Now which one are you looking for Wynsam.The one to connect ext HD via usb or the one to connect your ext HD to power up? The one is to read data and the other is to power up.
 
I have a powered usb hub that I use to plug a 120 mb 5400 external HHD into. The HDD has no power point other than the USB cable (Standard USB to Mini). Powered Hub was less than R 100. Won't that work. Edit Sorry that was R100.

For a thousand rand I would hope to hell it works. My enclosure and drive put together did not cost that much.

The cable should be a couple of bucks.:D
 
See the pic in the first port. Thats what i am looking for.
