I know of a couple of friends who would love to get there hands on a cheap 2nd hand 3g datacard (I wouldnt mind a spare one myself). What is vodacom doing with the mountain of old cards?

Perhaps we could start a little sideline business together...

I would say about R500 depending on what guarantee comes with it. You don't want it to croak after only a month. Now if only there was an affordable way to connect one to my pc...

What about an add-on for current contract users. R100 pm for 6 months and it includes 20MB data bundle?

I would say R400 to R500 and dropping...(as per all things technology related)

I had a topic open a few weeks ago about the Second hand 3G cards...
Was awaiting response from vodacom3g...

Yeah - i would pay R500... but i agree with the others as well - its depreciating fast in value.

I'd also pay R500, maybe even up to R600 if the card was not abused.

I also reckon around R500 is fair.

I don't need 1.8Mbps, 300kbps is good enough for me...But I certainly don't want to pay R2000+ for a modem.

All of this is well and good, and we've even had v3g responding, which says that SOMEone on the official side of the line knows about this interest ..and yet nothing further! So how about it v3g, how about some kind of indication of whether all this hot air we're generating has any chance of turning into actual cards being available??! (in case I'm being too subtle ;), I'm also REALLY interested in this topic..)

Actually it's 384kbps and most of the time you get that speed as my downloads are normally 48kBps.

Oh, and is Vodacom looking into that other modem?
