No worries ...

But seriously, 11 seconds are Porsche, Ferrari and Lambo figures. Maybe you misread or something, but a standard Uno Turbo doing it in 11 seconds is - well - impossible.

I'm looking at a Wiki link of the Porsche GT2 now (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_911_GT2)

993 :

0 - 60 mph 3.9
quarter mile 12.1 at 117mph

996 :

-60 mph 3.7 s
0-100 mph 8.3 s
1/4 Mile 11.9 at 120mph
Top speed 319 km/h (198 mph)

997 :

Top Speed 331 km/h (206 mph)
0-100 km/h 3.7 s
0-200 km/h 10.6 s
0-30 mph 1.2
0-60 mph 3.3 s
0-100 mph 7.3 s
0-150 mph 15.9
0-186 mph 33.0
1/4 Mile 11.2 at 129mph

Still searching for it. From what I recall the guy tampered with the Boost and the odd exhaust and what not. Added 1 extra injector to the Boost pipe and so forth. Nothing to constitute it not being standard. The engine and Turbo was standard, and the engine never opened.

Was a red one which even had a go at that Louis Lima Bakkie. I just can't recall the damn drivers name, would make it so much easier.

I'll bet my salary on the Uno taking it. I have seen a Standard Uno Turbo do the 1/4 in under 11 seconds with the right driver.
Now I think you're BS'ing :D Even with Schumi at the wheel it's not possible for a stock Uno to do that time (assuming the guy didn't remove every bit of trim from his car).

Ok no wait :D

I apologise, it's SUB 12 in was in the 11's. Found the guys name now from a friend, trying to find the Uno now and maybe a time posted somewhere. This friend just confirmed it was just under 12's not 11. He says around 11.8 or something.

I still call BS, there's no way it could be standard. Even messing with the boost means it's been modified.

S2000 vs Alfa 147 2.0... S2000 win.

@Coast :cool:

S2o00 would win at the coast, the reef, on a mountain, on any continent, in a near vacuum and at any performance competition he can begin to imagine

Ishmael's Uno Turbo is not stock. Nowhere near it. LMAO. Its got NOS feeding it as well. Stock they are quick but nowhere near that quick.

I've contemplated NOS for my S2000 instead of forced induction - but apparently its not a good idea :(

If that is the case, I apologize. I was talking via word of mouth (I saw this Uno at a race and was told it's standard, barring some minor tweaks). And that is the fastest Uno I have ever seen

Dude with cars you get two types of people:
- Those driving stock cars claiming they have every mod imaginable
- Those who have every mod imaginable and claim it's stock

The bottom line is you shouldn't believe a word of what people tell you because it's almost certainly BS. I haven't met many guys who were honest about their cars and it's limitations - everyone thinks they're a superhero :p

That or I have a gullable face :D
