You can spin it all you like. In the real world my iPhone got updated to iOS 15 the day after it was released. My Samsung S20+ is still stuck on Android 11 even though Samsung has released version 12 for the S20+.
Does not matter how the process work, or whose to blame, how many is involved, whatever. It sucks. End of story.
