Hello,

I am planning to work from overseas (europe) and found that to use a card the pin must be 4 digits max (in some countries there).

I have a FNB account & card which uses 4 pins so all good there.......problem is I get paid in my Standard Bank account
and today they told me one can use the first 4 or last 4 digits o_O of the 5 pin overseas instead of changing the card pin to 4 digits.

Anyone know about that if it's true?

Yeah i've had it before too. I think to be compatible with some systems somewhere along the lines, banks store a 5 digit pin and the 4 digits entered. well, not so much the pin i think vs a hash.
