//edit: sorry bout spelling mistake.... lol

Hi Guys,

Quick question,

I recently bought the above mentioned booktop, and it has a built in SIM reader, but i can.t seem to use it, Ive made sure its on (using the "Second-Function" and "3g" buttons). I installed vodafone mobile connect and even tried the pre-installed software, but it can't seem to pick up the device.

Has anyone had any issues with this?

Thanks in advance

Vodafone Mobile Connect will pick up the modem automatically, if it is installed properly. My guess is that the drivers for the 3G modem are not installed. That's why flipping the 3G switch does nothing, and the software doesn't pick it up. Verify first that the drivers are installed correctly...

How would i check the drivers? and if needed, where could i get them? I hate it, you buy the thing expecting it to work, then nothing...

Hi, I have the touchnote, and it seems that even if the device doesn't have a 3G module (which i found out mine doesn't), it still has the sim card slot, i.e it supports the addition of a 3G module.

hope this helps

Hi guys, sorry bout that, i saw that it had the sim card slot, and presumed that the 3g module was installed. thanks for all the help though....

How/where does one install this Huawei module in the 1022x? And to the OP, have you looked for drivers on the CD which came with the netbook?
